i’ve had my speedy b since 1/12/2020. I had it stored in the dust bag and took it out to check the wear the other day and all 4 corners are black. I’m still bummed, because I baby my bags! I was very careful, never placed them on the floor, always stored it in the dust bag, etc. This wasn’t even my every day bag. Mine was made in the usa.View attachment 4965235

I bought a brand new Speedy B 25 in DE today (arrived in mail), and that has a small black mark similar to your "wear" but not even in the corner, it is in the middle of the bag, one inch below where the handles fall.

Has anyone take your Speedy B to change the hardware, is it worth it?

I remember the hardware tarnish/chip so quick. I just check again, and my Speedy B is 9 years old. I’m wondering whether it’s worth to give a new life to it or let it be

Hey guys got my first speedy b BTP collection. Since there’s so much vachetta do you recommend to let it sit in the sun first before taking it out to avoid “darker” marks if I did accidentally get any water marks?

I would. I always let my new bags with vachetta sit and get some sun before I begin to use them.

Thanks for the feedback. When it goes under the sun does it patina very quickly? Or it’s a few months process kind of thing.

In my experience, my bags have only developed a honey patina after I’ve tanned them outside in the sun a lot. I don’t plan on doing that this time with my new speedy b 25, I’m just going to let it naturally patina with normal use. I set it in the sun for a few hours here and there and it visually didn’t make much of a difference but it doesn’t seem as “raw” if that makes sense.

Yeah it does! With the constant use of hand sanitizer, after your hands are dry. Have you touched the handles after and it’s okay?

Yes, no issues but I'm pretty careful too.
