I'm finally IN!Here is my late gift for my 25th birthday (which was in October, but I could only get the bag now): Speedy B 25 in Damier Ebene!
I got her on my trip to Warsaw and I've carried her for a bit during my trip. She is just incredibly practical and I'm still amazed how much I can fit inside!

Hello! I haven't really used my bag that often yet, so she still has that amazing smell of leather! I love that smell, my Neverfull also smelled like that at first, now I don't really sense it anymore on her.
I don't know if it makes any sense, but when I look at it from far away it looks a bit shiny, but closer it's matte. Here is a pic of a close up:

Thanks for sharing! I just got mine and it has a weird smell to it ... Almost like a new car smell. Is that the smell you're referring to?
Thanks for the picture! I'm going to go home and compare it to mine as well to compare. I used to have a speedy 30 and the handles were shiny but my speedy b kind of is matte. Do your handles have wrinkles under them? And did you end up attaching your lock to your bag? Idk where to put mine.

I honestly don't know what else to compare that smell to than with my other brand new LV bags... It's just a smell of a lovely, luxurious leather.
I think they might get more glossy with use, my Neverfull trim got pretty glossy with use and was completely matte when I first got her.
One handle has no wrinkles at all, the second one has small ones, but you can barely feel them when you're holding the bag, so I'm not too concerned about it. Here is a pic:
Actually, I took the lock away altogether, because it bothered me that it had a different color than the rest of the hardware (it doesn't bother me that much with the crossbody strap though) and it made the zipping/unzipping a bit uncomfortable.
I don't mind the questions at all, I just hope I can be of any help!

Both my handles have wrinkles under them but I guess that's normal but I can't feel it when holding it. Glad to know it'll get shinier with time.
And you're right about the hardware color not matching but I definitely want to put the lock on mine since I have it but just not sure where.
The strap sticks out which bothers me ... But idk if there is anything to do about that.
Can I ask you for one more thing - can you take a picture of the piping on the sides? I feel like mine is pushed in..

I remember I was freaking out with my NF when I saw she had some, but I got over it and I've used that bag sooo much since... With the Speedy, I honestly just don't care about those little things and enjoy my bag!

Will you be carrying your Speedy crossbody or just on your shoulder?
I don't like to carry cross body much so I took the middle extender out on my SpeedyB 30 DE. I like the strap length better and I don't have that piece there. Maybe that could help? It'll soften up a bit but mostly you'll get accustomed to it.
I took my speedy b to my favorite cobbler to see if he could hole punch another hole on each side of the strap. He did and it made a big difference. Much better fit for cross body on my 5'8" frame. Cost $1!
Do you have pictures of the new length cross body?
Is there something wrong with the one that costs $305? That's the one I was planning on getting to solve the extender-sticking-out problem and was wondering why you did not like that one. Thanks.
I have it and don't like it because it's way too long on me- I'm 5'4" and had to take it to a leather shop to have it cut and re-sewed even on the shortest hole. The ones for $285 (I have 3 of them, Azur, Ebene, and Mono) are slightly narrower and more adjustable. Perfect fit and very well made.
If you are taller than me, then the 305 will work for you. I am very particular about where my bags hit me on the hip. With the three others I have, I can get the exact shoulder length.
