Hi! It's aging beautifully. She's getting a nice even patina now thanks to baby wipes :) the canvas is still clean (I mainly use it as handheld or shoulder bag), there have been black marks on the d ring for the straps but I cleaned it with white eraser and non-alcohol baby wipes. So far so good! Post modeling shots when you get yours! Advance happy birthday! :)

It does sometimes irritate me since I have to straighten it before unzipping. I am not sure if it's going to be a problem with cracking in that area as I wear it more over the years. So far (I've had it for over 1 1/2 years) I don't have any issues. I try to hold it handheld when possible so that I don't get that issue so much.

+1 I have the issue with both my 35 and 30. I've never carried them with the handle so I guess I'm not helping the situation lol.

My first Louis Vuitton purchase, Speedy Bandouliere 30 in Damier Ebene along with my handmade felt organizer. She is also perfect as a mommy bag :yes:

Hi Ladies! I have officially joined the speedy b club! I got a speedy b 25 in DE all the way from London ... I live in the US. It's a MIF!

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining but a few things are bothering me but I'm not sure if it's all in my head or not.

1) it smells like chemicals/ plastic. I'm not sure if it's supposed to smell like that or if it will air out with use.

2) the handles are matte and have a lot of creasing underneath. I had a speedy 30 de which was MIU which I sold but the handles of that bag were very shiny and glossy. I tried to take a picture of the creasing but not sure if you can see it.

3) the hardware is very dull and looks like a dusty gold but the lock and keys and the clasps on the strap are super shiny and yellow ... Is this normal?

4) the middle extender part of the strap sticks out. I see that one side has two slots to secure it and the middle has only one. Is there anything to do about it? Is the middle supposed to have 2 also?

5) I know this is not really something to be bothered by but my BF picked up the bag while he was in London for work and didn't put the receipt in a brown envelope, didn't include the item tag and I had him request a drawstring dustbag for the strap which they didn't end up giving him... I wonder if I can go to a boutique here and get those things...

Lastly - is the date code the third week of October 2015? Not sure if I'm reading it right.

Yes that's the date. I had a problem with extender sticking out too so exchanged for regular speedy and bought a nicer LV strap that didn't stick out. The stitching and smell is normal lately when buying that bag.
If they had another loop on the extender, I would have kept mine.

It's authentic , it's all right , even Lv also broken, stained and damaged.

I had the regular speedy and hating only having the hand held option. It's a bummer they don't have another loop! Which strap did you end up getting?

The one on the LV site which is narrower and better made, it's beautiful and smooth, MIF. I just got a compliment on it two days ago from a stranger who was carrying a classic speedy. It costs $280- don't buy the one that's $305.
