I'm looking at a slouchy hobo bag on TRR and in the condition notes it says "heavy pull at base" - but none of the item photos show the base! I am a bit unclear what "pull" means in this context, can anyone provide some insight?
I have no idea....can you see if it's misshapen. are there threads that could be pulled?

Ok I zoomed in on the side view and I see something sticking out, can't tell if it is a thread or actually a piece of the leather. :frown: Either way doesn't inspire confidence, I don't think I'd want to carry it with a bit dangling off like that and would have to pay for a repair. I guess I'll wait and see if it gets marked down more to make it worth my while... Or I wonder if I should buy it as-is and try to get a partial refund if the condition is just too bad and the damage wasn't pictured? It is already categorized as "Fair" (lowest rank) though so not sure on that.

I don't really have experience with TRR. Just made my first purchase and haven't received it yet. from what I've seen here on the PF, sometimes condition is better than described and sometimes worse. But if they have disclosed the flaw and it's described as fair, I wouldn't think you'd be able to return it. Does it say "final sale"?

Ive bought from them several times and yes their condition assessments can be pretty off in both directions. They do say "No returns" on all bags but I've been able to return if pictures were unclear or the description was wrong. But I think you have a point, in this case it is listed even if it's not clearly pictured. I'm going to try to request more photos and see what they say.

I just got off the chat with them, they've told me the same thing about checking the warehouse and to expect an email response within 24hours. We'll see what happens... haha

Well, here's the response I got:

As we have checked your concern with the respective team for more images, we are not able to share the more images of the product. However, you can place the order if you wish to purchase and if you receive the item different than described then we will honor the free return.

Better than nothing but idk. It's all so disorganized. :frown:

I thought they were located in New York? That barely seems like passable English.

I've never talked to a person there - just online help. but it seems most companies use overseas CS these days. I've been on the phone with UPS a lot lately. they mostly sound like they are Filipino. I don't care as long as they provide good service but sometimes I have trouble understanding what they say.

I'm having an issue with them on a delivery. they have online chat help but I wish I could talk to a person. with the online agents, you type, then wait, then wait......it's time consuming but better than nothing
 
I received an email from yet another new Luxury Manager (I think this is like my sixth in the last year) and apparently there is now an Elite program that the new CEO announced in an email to established consignors (that I didn’t get). Great rollout! I’m still going to wait and see if they actually do get it together.

I hate the RR!!! I had the worst Luxury Manager. She was so pushy and a bish!!!! I just had all of my items shipped back to me, because the price I would have made to sell on RR was terrible. One pair of brand new CL Shoes that were in perfect condition are scratched on both pair of shoes. It looks like someone took their fingernail and scratched both shoes. They did not put them back in the red dust bags or wrap them in tissue. I paid $850 for these beautiful shoes. I took over 20 up close pictures of the shoes before I sent them in. There was not one scratch. I just sent them an email. I will also contacting counsel and the BBB. They owe me $850 for damaging these shoes. I bet this Luxury Manager told them to damage the shoes, since I asked to have 4 pairs of CL's and Burberry Coats shipped back to me. I know many people on TPF have had their items damaged too or their items lost. What is the email to the CEO again? Someone had posted it on here before, but I cannot find it. They should not have done this to me, because I'm the type that never gives up!!! I will fight this until I get my $$ back.
 
I just got a beautiful bag for a great price on TRR. It had some marks on it and needed some cleaning inside but came out beautiful. We got it looking like new in less than 30 minutes. The original owner could have made it look better in five minutes with some leather cleaner. Her laziness is my gain.

That’s great that you had a good experience and (presumably) got a good deal!

Another option was for TRR to do the work you did and sell it for more $$. Which would be a no-brainer for them if they had their operations working well.

I remain at arms length until hearing about actual improvements there….
