I still think you can find good deals on TRR. And if you're persistent then they will make things right if the purchase doesn't go as expected.

I just finished dealing with them on another purchase I made. I originally bought a Chanel watch on July 10 at a really good price compared to others of the same style and reported condition on TRR, Fashionphile and ebay. There was an issue with it though (automatic watch that lagged while the listing said "this watch currently meets expected timekeeping standards") and they agreed to refund the full cost of the repair to my original form of payment or issue a full refund if we could not come to an agreement about the repair cost. It took a month to get the repair estimate from Chanel and ten days of a few back and forths with TRR via chat and email, but they ultimately kept their promise and I just got my refund today.

For me, it was worth the hassle for this particular item. I have also just returned items if they were not as described and gotten full refunds on them with little or no hassle, even if the item was listed as non returnable. Other times, transactions went smoothly.

TLDR: Even if things go wrong with purchases, in my experience, TRR eventually does the right thing.

"Unfortunately, due to an inventory issue we had to cancel your order. We’ve issued a refund, which you should see .... To make it up to you, there’s $75 site credit waiting for you in your account." (this came today, 6 days after the order was placed)

Is this something they do often? The item was 4k and is highly collectible -- most places have them selling for 9k+. I wonder if someone caught a pricing error and took it down? Or it sold in a store while still listed?

This has happened to me before on TRR and on Fashionphile, initially both said that the item "could not be located". In reality, I think in most cases the item is either truly lost or it was stolen. On Fashionphile, they said that the item was "presold" to a VIP client prior to listing it and was not supposed to go live on the website. That was a shock. With TRR, they are disorganized so they really could have lost your item. I consigned a B25 with TRR once and they lost the lock and key (they agreed to pay me the full price for it after my consignment advocate intervened for me) and then apparently they found them about a month later. It also happened to me that an item I purchased from TRR online was delayed by over a week and then they reached out to me requesting to cancel the order; the reason was because the item number was linked to the wrong item in their warehouse, but again my representative was able to intervene and they found the correct item in the end. If you still want the item I would request that they put a note on the item number and contact you if it is found later so that you can purchase it.

I really should know better at this point. I long ago stopped consigning anything super valuable, like Hermes bags, with TRR. But I was still sending them in things worth less than 1k because it was just so convenient and they accept so much more compared with other resellers. That stops now. I have had SO many issues lately, particularly with their pricing and condition descriptions of my items. The last straw was a pair of Chanel heels I sent them. They were new in box and full set. TRR described them as used, saying they had fading. They are SUEDE. They are not faded, but the fabric has a nap to it so when the suede is brushed a certain way, it appears lighter or darker. How can a supposed luxury reseller not understand how suede works? I requested they be returned to me because they refused to correct the description and they arrived today. The shoes came alone. Neither the box nor dustbags that I included when I sent them to TRR arrived with them. This obviously significantly impacts their resale value if I decide to try and sell them myself. I have contacted TRR to locate the box and dustbags but I'm not very optimistic.

Wow. That is unacceptable. I am so sorry

I haven't consigned with TRR but I have bought accessories from them. My biggest beef is their no-returns policy on handbags. They don't post enough photos to be confident of authenticity, so it's a gamble every time. I will say their customer service was very helpful when I purchased a bag that did not match the name in the product listing/description. The photos weren't entirely clear, but as soon as I realized the issue, I contacted them to see if they could cancel the shipment and avoid sending out the bag. They couldn't, but they let me return it after it was received.

They do have an incredibly high volume of new material every day. I wonder if it's all sourced from individual collectors or if they obtain estate items or something like that?

Last month, I sent two pairs of golden goose shoes to them. I picked up a receipt after dropping the items at ups. TRR never logged in my items but I had proof of delivery. When I contacted them about my items not being listed in my sales page, they asked me for descriptions of the shoes I sent. Needless to say it took them over a month to say they have lost my items and will have to reimburse me. I don’t think I will be consigning any more items with them.

Geesh. I often consign items to them that are designer in nature but are either not worth selling myself and dealing with the hassle or are clothes. Bags I would always sell to CoutureUSA, MyGemma, yoogis, Fashionphile etc. I would never send them a high value item (birkin, Kelly, Chanel CF). Geesh

Back in Sept I posted that my order was cancelled due to an "inventory issue" and yesterday, close to 2 months later I ordered something else and today I get the same order inventory/cancel message, now with a $25 credit. What is going on with this place?? The first item was 4k and this one was only $200. I looked in the sold listings and the item is pictured as being sold 3x.

"Unfortunately, due to an inventory issue we had to cancel your order. We’ve issued a refund, which you should see .... To make it up to you, there’s $25 site credit waiting for you in your account."

I’m not sure about your specific item, but I have asked about items that are listed as “coming soon” but never appear. My SA looks them up and usually they are listed in the inventory, but with a note next to them that they are either damaged or are lost somewhere.

I purchased a diamond ring recently, and they inexplicably changed the shipping after checkout to an old address from years ago.

Luckily I have screenshots showing the address that I used to check out (the correct one) as well as the order confirmation that shows the change to the old incorrect address. I sent a message to Customer service right away asking them to change the shipping address back to the correct address, and they confirmed that they would do it and replied back with the correct address that they were changing it back to.

It was marked as delivered a couple of days ago, and when I checked the tracking it was delivered to the old/incorrect address. I sent them a message asking them what they are going to do about this. They said they are going to send someone to the location with a prepaid shipping label, and that I will be refunded once they have the item back. They know I am not there and do not know anyone there. I’m not sure how this is going to work out, but this is a new one for me.

I’m sure they will refund me eventually if needed, but what a mess.

The item I bought back in Sept. says 'coming soon' and has for 2 months now. It was/is obviously lost.
