Hi Everyone!

I‘m very new... but I want to share my experience about my Iena purchase.
I waited so long to be part of the Iena club and now I‘m without one I‘ve read everything and was well aware of possible corner issues and so on...
Here is the short story:
I finally ordered the Iena fron the online shop and was so excited about the new bag. But it came in a -to me- unacceptable- condition. Iam new and will try to load pictures... please tell me if I am crazy, BUT: there was a tiny light scratch on the leather part which says Louis Vuitton in front of the bag, the leather pieces left and right of the outside zipper pocket were not symmatrical and the zipper already had light scratches as well... AND the one corner... well see for yourself... I returned it and I am afraid to order another one (I still love the style and security) since it looked to me like an already returned bag
How can that happen???

Thanks for any answers!

So ... I went to my local LV last week to leave my zippy wallet to be reglazed ( cost Euro 100,00 but ...free of charge thanks to my wonderful SA) and I brought my Ièna MM in DE to have it inspected. Corner wear is very clear but,... my SA told me that as long as there’s no actual tear in the canvas, it is considered normal “wear”. She just told me “it’s an entry level bag, you bought it for rainy days ....enjoy it...when it will eventually rip (and it will happen) LV will not take care of it, as any bags with ripped or damaged canvas are no longer their business. So ...lesson learned. Any bag with sharp folded corners shoud be avoided.

Is that a hole in the corner? Ugh! I would be turned off of this bag too but I already have one. I got it when it first came out and it’s fine. Give it another shot if you still want one.

I took my bag to LV store because I noticed popped stitch on my zipper pull - they are ordering a new one to be put on and I’ll have to go back to have that repaired. However I now notice corner wear spot - I don’t think based on what most have said that they will do anything for this though. Why do I feel stress and embarrassment at the thought of bringing this to their attention when I go back in for the zipper pull repair?!! Ugh! I know it can happen no matter how careful I am with it but I wish it didn’t.

Thank you for the answer... well it‘s not a hole, but it looks like color is rubbed of. :-( I haven‘t bought a new one yet and am still afraif of it. I dont want to regret it because I knew about the problem before... I would end up babying the bag and lose the joy although I like it very much.
But I must say the way the online shop handled it was fab: Sent back on Monday and received my money via paypal on Wednesday... Ive never returned anything before because of a defect and it went very well. So thats a plus.

Do you think it is just the newer ones? I‘ve watched a lot of you tube and justjennifer for example got one of the very first and until now no issues, like you...
Graceful has the same problems...

Wow that looks bad... how long did you have it? I did not quite understand: will they replace or just repair it when they ordered a new one?

Definitely bring it to their attention. I'm the same way - I hate complaining about stuff. But just see what they say. If they don't want to help you out, then at least you know you tried.

I really like my Iena but honestly after hearing about so many issues with the folded corners, I would stay away from these types of bags if you're having reservations about it. The Iena is such a comfy, practical bag but at this point, I'm kind of expecting it to fall apart eventually and I won't be surprised when it does.

I didn’t bring the corner wear issue up yet just zipper pull stitch popping - but when I go back in for them to fix it (they had to order one and will call me when it comes into the store to go back in to have them fix it there) I plan to show them the corner wear and see what they say.

Be careful, if you bring that to their attention and it’s considered a tear in the canvas, they may not repair the zipper pull. They won’t touch nor repair a piece with cracked canvas. Though not sure what that corner wear would be considered as...

Ugh that’s another good point! I want the zipper pull fixed. Anyone have any products I could use on the corner wear issue to at least do something for it?

B9034B88-E4DA-48C0-B39E-0F2836BD0A52.jpeg Hey everyone. New to the forum but not LV. Anyone have a monogram iena? I bought one last year but I never use it. I’m more of a ebene and azur fan so I think I’m going to sell it and buy an Iena in azur or ebene. My SA told me he doesn’t think I should sell it since mono isn’t available anymore and my bag is almost perfect condition. Do you think it should sell for a bag I’ll use or keep since it’s no longer available? She’s def a beauty.

I love this bag and wanted to purchase the MM as a travel tote.. seems like the perfect size, zips shut, and has the outside pocket w/zipper. But reading about the "corner" issue, should I re-think getting the DE MM? (was going to purchase in Paris or Roma on my vacation in 2 weeks)

Yep! Think about it! I don’t think is worth it, and I have this bag.:crybaby:
