I know hardware will eventually get scratched but is it normal for the clasps on the strap to look this bad after a couple hours of use? I used my bag for the first time today and was in a car or seated somewhere most of the day.

Oh my, that's pretty scratched up indeed.
Here's a pic for comparison.
I've had my PM since march/april and used it a lot!!View attachment 3519549

Looks pretty darn scratched up...mine isnt that scratched and ive carried it quite a few times.

Yeah I'm hoping it's regular wear and tear. I would find that very hard to believe for the couple hours I've used it. I was only strolling around the mall for about 20 min of these couple of hours. Rest of the time I was seated. Thanks for your input. Hope my SA will be able to help me out!

Hi ladies! I want to get a Pochette Metis, but last weekend I saw one in a boutique Made in Italy and the canvas was very flexible (and it deformed easily), plus the interior lining had extra fabric so it looked weird. Therefore I wanted to ask you if Made in France PM are better than MII?

Thanks in advance dolls[emoji8]

MII is probably just as rare as MIF if you live in North America. What do you mean by extra fabric for interior lining? I believe most if not all MII PM's have upside down LV's on the interior of the flap while MIF and MIU have right side up LV's there.

I really like the PM but am concerned that given it has been on sale since 2013 and has been overly fashionable and overly covered in blogs and Instagram that it will soon become unfashionable. Do you think it has had its day (or soon will) or do you think it will become a classic like the NF?

Not many bags will become classics, like the NF or Speedy, and I doubt the PM will get to classic status. That being said, if you love it, it doesnt matter if it is currently "fashionable". Wear what you love. I know quite a few bloggers have it, but IMO it is because it is so classy and versatile. It goes with everything and carries a lot for a crossbody!

I totally agree, as long as you love it, buy it! [emoji4] What works for you may not work for others and vise versa.

Are pochette metis still hard to find?

Yes they seem to be - there was one recently at my local LV store in Sydney which I tried but didn't buy, not knowing it was rare to find one there (as it was there when I asked to see it!) and when I came back a week later the SA thought it was funny when I asked to see it again - it was long gone! I didn't know how lucky I was to find one one first try, if I had I probably would have just bought it then and there!
