Between the tab and the glazing that started peeling they took the bag back for an exchange/store credit.

I see, yea my glazing on the flap is fine, its just the glazing on both of my vachetta tabs that holds the D ring is very cracked. I hope other ladies and guys here can let me know if it's normal or not. Because if it is, it makes since because vachetta leather gets soft and it seems like the red glazing is hard like the red candy on a candy apple so it will crack due to the tab moving and softening.

I bought mine in August of last year, I haven't got much use out of this bag, I have other bags in my rotation because I'm losing interest in the pm.[emoji53] The same thing happened to my Speedy B 3 yrs old, I used that bag for two years straight lol, I always used the strap so I understand the glazing will eventually fade.

Ah i see. thanks for confirming my dilemma. So it is normal then thank god. I didn't want to send my pm away.

I thought I was spared the quality issues with the PM but after reading more of this thread I inspected mine and sure enough it is starting to crack. I took it in today and at first was told that I would have to pay for the repair as it is past the "one year warranty". When I questioned the SA on this elusive one year warranty and told her I thought it was in the discretion of the manager, she insisted that it's absolutely one year. So I asked for a manager who agreed to send photos to "quality assessment". Anyone know what that means and is there much hope for me getting a credit or replacement? I know the cracking isn't *that* bad but I know it would only get worse with use and then I would be even further out of their supposed warranty period. I have only used the bag about six times bc I have an embarrassingly large collection and rotate my bags often. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1465533949.793426.jpg

That just means they're going to send your photos to a repair specialist. I had the old model bought pre-loved and I had the same glazing issue. It was very slight but it was close to the canvas so I had LV look at it for repair. I was prepared to pay for it, but after the repair specialist looked at it, they said it would be free. After the bag was sent back, LV contacted me saying the reglazing could not be done and that I could either get a store credit or wait for another PM. Luckily, they had a PM transferred in from another location so I didn't have to wait. I sure do miss the old model though.

I'm seeing the Pochette Metis as available to add to cart much more frequent now. I used to see it 1-2 times a week and now I see it sometimes more than once a day.

It's currently available on the Canadian website if anyone is interested. I see stock available on the US website very often now too. Often compared to the past anyway haha
I'm hoping that it is MIF or MII, not the US. I'm a little concerned after reading the recent posts about the poor review and quality control on this bag. Saved for quite a while to get this one.

Warm regards,

I'm sorry this has happened to you. BTW, I saw a youtube video about a woman who went to the store within a year of her purchase but she was told there was no such thing as a one year warranty. So many different answers. I hope your issues get solved.

I got my PM in 2013, I didn't have a problem at all, then one day the glazing started peeling off in chunks. I took it to the boutique and the SA said they would fix it no charge, it came back all fixed and the glazing looks a little different. The old glazing was thick and the new glazing is a thinner application, I think it looks better now.

I was so afraid they wouldn't fix it and I would lose my bag, but it all went well and it only took about a month. I asked what happens if the glazing peels again and they said just to bring it in again.
I think anyone who's having problems with this bag should bring it in immediately before the canvas gets damaged, the two SA's I talked to about this said the glazing is an easy fix, if you're not getting a good response maybe try a different boutique or a different SA.

Congrats to everyone who got this pretty bag, it's too bad some bags have crooked locks or upside down canvas, that's so strange. Don't give up, keep looking for a good one
