I meticulously traced the protective plastic on the S lock hardware on a screen protector and applied it on lol. My bf thought I was crazy ("if it gets scratched so what? you used it!" :faint:)

Lucky you! May I ask when you purchased the second PM? Was it very recently (few days). or more like a few weeks ago? It's unfortunate that when I finally decide to search for one it is just after LV started rolling out the MIU ones! My MIU one that I rejected came in yesterday.

Hi, newbie here but have been following this thread :) i bought a preloved PM, half the orig price which is awesome. The hardware has few scratches. Does anyone know how to buff it? Or do i just leave it? I read somebody put a protective plastic, pls share some pics. Thank you :)

My second PM was an exchange since LV decided that they couldn't replace the glazing on my original after they received it at the CA factory. I picked up my second one on May 4, 2016. They had it transferred in from another store.

FYI...I used a screen protector on my Eva for the first year I owned it, no scratches. So when I finally removed it the hardware was sort of pitted. Tiny little spots caused from the screen protector. I though it would be just like new but it wasn't. Meanwhile my PM S lock has fine scratches but they are under the pointed closure where you can't see them. My PM is from 2014. Older than the Eva and used much more often. But unprotected and looks much better. Something to consider.

Yes definitely agree here! Uncovered is better. I think the metal will lose color and get marks of anything that lies underneath the covering when it doesn't hit air. I read something similar happened to someone who left the plastic on their Birkin's hardware and it looked dull upon uncovering a while later.

Hi, everyone, I just received my PM today and here are the pictures. I was so excited when my SA told me that it was here. She told me that this one is MIU, which I am fine with it. Since I live far away from the store so they have to ship it to me. However when I open the box, I noticed several issue about this bag, the first thing is that the front buckle is a little bit leaning toward the left, not in the middle, The other thing bothers me is that there are several scratches on the front buckle (right under the round lv logo, not as shinny as the other parts of the HW), I thought the hardwares would be covered with plastic film to protect them but there's none. Although it is very tiny scratch, it still bothers me. Because I love this bag so much, I am now struggling whether I should exchange it in store and wait for another one to come in or keep this one. What do you gals think? Thanks much!!!

I can see what u mean that its leaning to the left but i cant see the scratch. Hmmm.... if its me, i'll prob exchange it if you're not 100% contented. You're paying a lot of money so IMO they shld be perfect. But its still up to you :)

Btw, i've seen a video in youtube that some LVs made in 2016 have diff quality. Hope its not true :(

I would definitely take the bag back. You won't be happy with it trust me! Also the left side of the bag facing us looks dented. That's not normal either. You could stuff your bag to see if it pops out, but I would exchange it ASAP.
