Hey everyone!
I'm back yet again haha just a quick question before I head on over to pick my bag up Friday. Has anyone experienced color transfer from the lining of the bag when using light colored SLGs? I have a white Dooney Disney wallet, almost the exact size of a Zippy Compact, and I love it but I'm very afraid of color transfer on it so I'm usually super careful but it will be the perfect size to use in this purse. I wanted to get a Zippy Compact but I thought it might be redundant for me since I tend not to change wallets much and have the same thing in a "different" pattern, basically.
I did use the feature to search the thread but everything I was coming up with was discussing color transfer on to the vachetta/vachetta pull tab that was on the back pocket of the older models. Any help would be great! I promise I will stop being annoying once Friday comes!

Congrats! I've used my white mc cles inside the pm and I didn't have any color transfer, that was my concern too. Before I put it inside, I used a white tee to rub the inside just to check if it would transfer to the shirt, thank goodness no color transfer. Not sure about vernis pieces though . Hth.
Oh I never thought of that! This wallet actually feels really similar to the LV canvas so hopefully all will be well. I thought of keeping it in a dust bag but that seem like it would be a bit of a hassle to take in and out. I do have a pomme key holder so hopefully that'll be safe as well. I love the tee shirt idea!
Check over your new bag ladies. I bought my sister one online for her birthday. Got it Monday. Date code DU1186 so it was just made. I immediately noticed what looked like small threads or lint and realized it was coming off the glazing. It was on the front flap an inch or so from brass closure. It was returned.
I can offer insight to Vernis items. I have had my Pomme D'Amour Sarah and my Fuschia (circa 2003- the lightest bright pink LV made in Vernis) Ludlow wallet in the bag and both are fine.

The tip of the hardware that you push in to close the bag has an outward point that I've only seen in older bags. Also where the closure hardware is placed seems off centered from the monogram print. Please see pics below. Thinking about returning this one.

The metal tip that points up is normal. They're all like that. I can't see where it looks off. I think your bag looks fine. Maybe some others can chime in. As much as we'd like our bags to be perfect, unfortunately that is not attainable since they are handmade. My PM isn't perfect and I'm nit picky, but I decided it's no big deal and it doesn't take away from the beauty of the bag. I will say that I still prefer the first model. That canvas was so thick and sturdy. If only they could've still used that when revamping the PM. With all that said, if it bothers you that much then you should exchange it. The bags are to be used and enjoyed.
+1 i can't really see the problem with the bag either! Looks good to me, and I am picky!
