I've read here that you got the old then replaced with the new model. I think i got the old version (date code in 2014). Can you really see the diff? Just curious :)
Hey there! Sounds like you were describing me...

Yes, I can definitely tell the difference with the canvas. The old model was thicker and the pockets didn't open up as big as the new one, but as I started using it more the pockets were opening up while still maintain a structured shape. I also had an easier time closing the bag even if I didn't have much items in it. It seemed as if the thickness of the canvas allowed for it to be easier to lock regardless of items in it. I sure do miss that bag, but I learned to love the one I have too...it's just not as easier to deal with then the other one.

Stalked the US website until one morning, there it was! Add to cart!! Just got it the other day, and was pleased to find it made in Italy. The canvas is a little stiff, so when my stuff is in it, the lock doesn't release with one hand. Wondering if when the canvas softens up, will the lock release with one touch. Anyone experience this?

My grandma (she passed away already) gave me this bandeau which is older than me. After watching the youtube video, i remembered i have this just sitting in my drawer. I only used it once. Finally, i can use this vintage bandeau with my lovely PM. thank you auboo for the idea

I love the color of your bandeau.
I do like the idea of the bandeau to prevent the glaze from peeling off and also give a little something to the bag too with the added color.

Do any of you treat the leather on your Metis? I'm worried about getting the handle dirty but I'm not sure if treating the leather interferes with the patina process... 🤔
I've treated mine with Loving My Bags and it's good for all vachetta. I have had water hit my bag once after being treated and the spots dried up without leaving marks. The patina process will happen regardless.

Hubby went into the Aria LV store (Las Vegas) and looked for the pochette Metis...... The SA checked the system and said it is out of stock across US. And we're like the 130th person on the waitlist :(
