Hi everyone!

I have a pochette metis story to share and hopefully get some advice.

I orginally bought my pochette metis in empirente leather noir in september 2022 brand new from store, and was soooo in love with it - it was perfect in every way! After about 6 months, I had some financial issues and decided to sell the bag. I have regretted ever since, and bought it again this month, but pre loved. The seller assured me it was as new condition, originally bought in march 2022. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the bag was dirty on the inside (looks like a stain from a pen?), on the top handle and (worst of all) really badly scratched up on the lock. Some places on the hardware also had some discoloration. I contacted the seller again, and she basically told me "good luck with selling it again". To be fair, when I had a second look at the pictures she sent me beforehand, it was visible. Kind of "if you know, you know". When the bag arrived, the seller had not closed the lock before sending it and the strap was bended (not badly - I was able to fix it, but still). Also, it looks like the lock is not straight. I have my pictures attached for reference.

Anyways, I´m down to two options: I could visit a store to see if they could replace the lock for me if the price is reasonable, or I could try to sell this bag and buy a new one from store. The problem is the nearest store is an 8 hour drive from where I live. I can live with the stain on the inside, but I specifically told the seller I did not want a bag with scratches on the lock. I´m also hesitant to selling the bag for a lot less than I paid for it, as I would lose a lot of money. Therefore, if the price for changing the lock is not too bad, that might be my best option. If anyone knows approximately how much this would cost in Europe (Norway), that would be very helpful.

Greatly appreciate any advice!
I would use a small vacuum on the inside, or a lint roller to clean it up a bit. Perhaps use some brasso or another polish for the front lock. Once cleaned up it may not show as many of the small scratches. It does look a little misaligned, if you find it creates issues getting in/out of it, it's possible they may replace it for free. I had one where the lock would get stuck and they replaced it at no charge.

Does anyone here own and regularly use the PM infrarouge? Is my holy grail PM (silver hardware and black and red Monogram canvas? AMAZING) buuut when I bought one from fashionphile it was clear they'd not taken pics of the trouble areas for this bag (flap and glazing on top of the bag where it joins) so it went back.

Regarding the old sticky glaze issue on the leather Métis’s, is this bag from 2020 a bag that would fall under that category? I’ve never seen it first hand, and I hear alot of talk but not many photos of the issue. Your help is appreciated 🥰

So I have had my eye on the Pochette Metis forever and I finally bit the bullet. Bought it in the monogram. I usually don't like monogram canvas, but in the Pochette Metis it somehow works. I think it is such a simple, casual bag. So easy for everyday wear in fall and winter looks. Oh, I am so looking forward to putting this baby in circulation in my wardrobe this fall!
