My SA shared some pics for the upcoming collection. I am conflicted with the pochette Métis in general. I have purchased and sold this bag so many times over the years. But I wind up adding it back because it’s such a functional bag for me. So here I am with an empreinte noir and classic mono. I’m debating adding the reverse back into my collection (will be the third time) and/or maybe this navy. But I already have the noir and wonder if it will be redundant. I guess I can wait and see in person.

I’m also looking at eventually adding the turtledove too. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I hope there are others that have been on the pochette Métis merry-go-round. 😜
The navy is gorgeous!! I’m a huge fan of the Metis and find I carry mine more than I expected. I really love the space and the way it carries 😊

Hi there! I’m on the merry go round with you!! I had the reverse and mono—and sold both! Then purchased the mono again and added the empreinte noir. I find this bag very functional but it is not my go to bag for every day. For me I’m more of a small tote or hobo fan. With that said, the pochette metis still is beautiful and functional. I’m considering the navy because I missed out on the marine rouge. But not sure because I already have the noir. And I might want a different style in the navy. Anyway—let us know what you decide!!

Lol. I did the same. I had the mono and reverse and sold and then repurchased the noir and mono last year. And I refuse to part ways with those two despite my up and down feelings about the bag. I don’t “love” the bag but I am always reaching for it. It’s functional and it’s a beautiful bag. So I wanted to add another one (or two) because this bag works for me. Like you, I can’t decide if I want to add the navy but not sure if it will be too similar to the noir. But will have to see in person. Btw, there will be a navy neverfull in this collection too since you’re a tote person! :)

I realize that it would be pure speculation, but do you think that it's unlikely that LV will ever produce a cognac PM given the Oxford in cognac now exists? I used to think it would happen eventually given the popularity of the bag and the color, but given the Oxford's similarity to the PM, I'm now doubting it.
Yes, it’s coming out in a couple months!!! 🎉🎉🎉 August 16 US release, September 30 world release I believe are the dates. I’m excited! I might get the cognac PM and neverfull! I’m sooooo excited because I missed out on the collection last time.

Thanks for sharing the date! I'm so excited and waiting very impatiently for pictures. I only hope that it's the regular monogram and not the giant.

Hi everyone!

I have a pochette metis story to share and hopefully get some advice.

I orginally bought my pochette metis in empirente leather noir in september 2022 brand new from store, and was soooo in love with it - it was perfect in every way! After about 6 months, I had some financial issues and decided to sell the bag. I have regretted ever since, and bought it again this month, but pre loved. The seller assured me it was as new condition, originally bought in march 2022. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the bag was dirty on the inside (looks like a stain from a pen?), on the top handle and (worst of all) really badly scratched up on the lock. Some places on the hardware also had some discoloration. I contacted the seller again, and she basically told me "good luck with selling it again". To be fair, when I had a second look at the pictures she sent me beforehand, it was visible. Kind of "if you know, you know". When the bag arrived, the seller had not closed the lock before sending it and the strap was bended (not badly - I was able to fix it, but still). Also, it looks like the lock is not straight. I have my pictures attached for reference.

Anyways, I´m down to two options: I could visit a store to see if they could replace the lock for me if the price is reasonable, or I could try to sell this bag and buy a new one from store. The problem is the nearest store is an 8 hour drive from where I live. I can live with the stain on the inside, but I specifically told the seller I did not want a bag with scratches on the lock. I´m also hesitant to selling the bag for a lot less than I paid for it, as I would lose a lot of money. Therefore, if the price for changing the lock is not too bad, that might be my best option. If anyone knows approximately how much this would cost in Europe (Norway), that would be very helpful.

Greatly appreciate any advice!

I can't tell you what this would cost, but you can likely get the answer without traveling to your nearest store if the Vuitton app offers care services in the app for your country. I apologize if this is not available in Norway, I am not certain. If it is, it can only be found in the app while logged into your LV online account. When you open the app and login, there is a tab labeled "MyLV" and under that menu is the option for "My Care Services" with a black button at the bottom that reads: "Request a new repair". If this option is not available in your country I would try giving them a call and seeing if it is something that could be quoted to you over the phone since the store is so far from you.

Thank you for your fast response! Unfortunately, I don't think the care services in the app is available in Norway. I already tried LV customer service, they told me I had to either visit a store or send the bag to them. But calling them might be a better option, yes!

Does anyone have experience with customer service after buying a bag pre loved?

I haven't actually sent a piece in for repair - but I have gotten several spare parts orders (luggage tags, lock and key replacement, etc.) - all things that they didn't physically need the bag to replace the parts - on several vintage pieces I bought pre-loved without any issues! I don't think an item needs to be in your purchase history to have it serviced by them - lots of people get Vuitton pieces as gifts and it wouldn't make sense for them to turn them away for repair services!
