My new pochette Métis in noir. I purchased her last week and she will be my Mother’s Day gift from my hubby.
I had so much trouble deciding between mono and leather, but I just wanted a bag that was a bit more understated and that I could use every day. I am hoping she is going to be perfect for that!

Your choice looks perfect with what you're wearing. I have the noir and like that she's more understated too.

Just recieved my beautiful PM turtledove graduation Masters degree gift yesterday! Perfect glazing, deep impossing, stands by it self and no creases. It's even easy to lock when empty, and made in France! I have read so much about those things and how one should buy this bag in store. I live too far away, so I use my regular SA. So in love with this beauty! Even got a personal congratulation card and four perfumes from my SA! Happy day!

lovely
I’m thinking of whether to get the canvas, black or turtledove. Was worried on the glazing crack issue (not sure if still the case) on canvas
and whether any colour transfer to turtledove if I wear jeans
Black is a safe colour

any advise from those who had the emp leather?

Get the empreinte 100%. It's so much nicer than the canvas, the strap is so much more comfortable and no glazing or cracking issues.

As for the colour, you can't go wrong with noir or turtledove! (I have noir)

I own the PM in 1854, but have an empreinte piece in turtledove. Turtledove is pretty, but hard to remove color transfer from. Wore it once with OLD jeans, and there’s now dark blue spots. My damier azur pieces aren’t that susceptible to color transfer. If you want empreinte, get black.

can I trouble you to take a photo of the dark blue spots if possible? Did you try to remove it?

Sorry, my turtledove piece is in storage at my other place. Won’t be there for at least another month :/ I did try to remove it, with leather cleaner too. It got rid of most of it, but not all. It wouldn’t be an issue for most people, but I like my things clean. I don’t use my turtledove pieces with dark clothes now.

And to answer your other question, an umbrella, even a mini, and small water bottle (could probably only fit an 8 oz/.25 L) are both bulky items. If your glasses case is also bulky, you won’t be able to fit all three. If you do, it will look really bulky. Personally, I don’t like how PM looks when stuffed to the brim. At most, you could do two bulky items without it getting to that point.

Keep in mind that stretching any material too much, and too often, can over stress it and cause it to wear down faster, or even break. Glazing and cracking issues can happen to any material where the material stretches past the glaze’s capabilities. Glazes are flexible, not stretchy.

If you don’t already have one, I would consider speedy b25 or b20. With what you want to carry at minimum, those two would work. You also don’t need to worry as much about possibly stuffing them too much.

Thank you for your sharing. I’m currently using speedy B25 for work and a Gucci Ophidia small shoulder bag on weekends. I love my speedy B25, it’s roomy and fits lots of stuff. I placed my LV eva in it. Gucci Ophidia is slim, I manage to put my LV Eva, spec case and water bottle. That’s about it. Too much and will go out of shape.
I saw PM has the following size 25x7x19.
I’m wondering if anyone measured the internal width of the 2 compartments before? The 2nd one looks like it’s quite wide. I measured the items I used and below is my estimate if the PM bag fits all below items

This is where it gets tricky. I have my PM with me and just measured. Unstretched, the internal measurement for the front pocket: 22.4 cm x 16.5 cm x 1.5 cm (l x h x d) and the back pocket: 23.5 cm x 16.5 cm x 3.5 cm. Keep in mind you have to close the bag still, so the maximum depth you can actually get from the bag is about 9.5 cm at the top edge of the bag. PM, when stuffed, looks like an ugly and awkward tent, similar to how an overstuffed Coussin PM also looks like an ugly and awkward tent. PM is not a roomy bag, unless you are willing to work with it so that it's roomy.

When using my PM, the most I can do are two makeup pouches about (15.5 cm x 10 cm -slim pouches, no depth), sunglasses in a fabric slip, recto verso or cardholder (even my LV compact wallets are too bulky), keys, and a phone in the back zip. Anything more and it's either too bulky, or the strap starts to dig into my shoulder. The bulkiest items in my pouches are mini hand sanitizer, mini lotion, two epipens, and an inhaler. There are other crossbody bags from LV that can fit your essentials without forcing it. Longchamp Le Pliage backpacks in the small size would be perfect too, actually. I use my Longchamp backpack for work, and I can fit all the things you mentioned + tupperware (my lunch), and still have extra room (I usually stuff a grocery/canvas tote).

I live in NYC, and hate rummaging through my bag. It's not efficient, or safe in certain situations. For me, PM works best for a sunny day trip, or for the bare essentials for work on a nice day. Leave the umbrella and water bottle at home. Buy water at your location, instead.

Thank you and appreciate your time in writing and sharing ☺️
Can’t wait to buy my PM
Plan to get another LV bag, yet to decide which one. I’m not a person who will baby my bag and I have a budget, decided to get 2 instead of 1 expensive piece

Thank you ladies for the replies ☺
do you think PM will fit a small water bottle, mini umbrella and spectacles case?
anyone has these items in your PM?
I don't carry these things in my PM, but rather put them in my tote bag if I'm going to the office. Here is what I carry in my PM:
Front compartment - Sarah wallet or slim purse
Center compartment - toiletry 15 and 6 key holder, sometimes LV vintage pen case
Back compartment- key pouch or Schilling coin purse, reverse monogram card holder, sometimes LV vintage pen case, purse hanger
Back zipper compartment- cell phone
Hope this helps!

I carry those types of items in my tote or leave them in my vehicle. In my PM I carry the following:

Front pocket: coin card holder, lip balm
Middle compartment: mini pochette, round coin purse, pocket organizer and Rosalie (mini pochette on its side so I can fit all 4 items without stretching the bag)
Back slip pocket: miscellaneous papers/receipts
Zipped pocket: phone
