Either buy the mono or the empreinte!! You will love ❤❤❤❤ no regrets. And you'll be surprised how spacious. My noir empreinte is 2 yrs old. Still perfect condition.I have had my eye on this bag for years and am seriously considering making it mine this year, but I do have some worries after repeatedly reading about issues with glazing, sticky locks, and cracked canvas. I would use it for my everyday bag and wouldn’t necessarily want to baby it, although I’m not particularly rough on my bags either. I have a one year old so cross bodies work really well for items that I need quick access to, and I travel light because everything else that I need is in the diaper bag or my car. I initially fell in love with the mono version but noir empreinte would be my second choice. I just don’t know if I should be considering something else all together with my concerns. I was so excited to get my new bag. But i noticed a small imperfection on the handle. It is only noticeable on certain angles or lights. Not sure if its a scratch or crease. Im returning it to lv, theyll assess and let me know. I considered keeping and not worrying but i couldnt stop looking at it and made me feel silly for paying so much for a bag that has a mark. .

i would be bothered by this. It’s basically the first thing you see when you pick up the bag specially when you’re wearing it crossbody.
Yikes! Take it back for sure - that should NOT be on a new bag.

I’ve owned my Mono when it first came out, and subsequently added black leather while stalking/hoping for a reverse. Earlier this month, I casually strolled into LV at Waikiki while on holiday and the SA told me they literally just got a shipment of Reverse! of course it came home with me.
Two years ago I bought the Turtledove one (at much cheaper price) but returned it due to my worry about it being light color. I have been thinking about it since. Few nights ago, I was stalking the website and saw the Turtledove one was in stock! Now it’s to be delivered tomorrow.
I think myself a little crazy for owning four of the same bag. But it’s so functional and fits my style!

Will do. I am a huge Metis fan. Used to have Metis Hobo also. Unfortunately the glazing melted so badly it smeared all over the bag itself. They couldn’t fix it so sadly it went to the LV Grave.

I was just like you, worry about issues. But I ended up with the mono version. I have just sold it. I loved it but lost the excitment because anxciety for cracking issues. I would never reach for it! Now I have order a black empreinte version and I can see myself wearing it so much more! If it gets glazing issues they can just reglaze it and I wont crack because its leather. Its more understated than the mono too. Cant wait to get it!
Love my empreinte!! It was my birthday gift this year from my parents so its a very special bag to me!
Can I ask why you sold your monogram? I was thinking about picking up the monogram too but I don't like darkened vachetta and the WT is too expensive here in AUS.
I sold it because I never used it. I was so affraid of cracking issues so I just could not enjoy the bag. I found it also to be a bit loud so in many situations I choose other bags. Its to expencive to not be used so I think a empreinte would fit my lifestyle better and be a better pick in all kind of situations. And it has vachetta, and we have a lot of rain here.
