Hi Lovelies! I am happy to join the PM club. I got the empreinte version in marine rouge and this is my first piece in empreinte leather. The alignment and embossing are fine but there is something on the top handle that’s bothering me. I tried reading through the thread since 2017 hoping to find something similar. Please help check photos if the white stuff which look like excess glue (?) will bother you. I tried to gently peel them off but it’s not that easy and I’m scared to ruin the leather or glazing. I am 5 hours away (by car) from the nearest LV store so not sure if it will be worth the trip to exchange. My SA always tells me there is no perfect bag, there will always be minor issues as these are handmade.
Thank you for your time, lovelies!

Its a beautiful bag. Color and embossing looks really good. Thats just the glue. Enjoy your bag.

I am just browsing the LV app early in the morning and to my surprise I see a lot of colours now available in empreinte leather. I am in NZ, do you see them in your country’s website or app? I have always been eyeing the rose poudre and then now the freesia!!! OMG!View attachment 5267867
I have seen the colors show up on the US website a few times over the past weeks, but none of them are actually ATB. Not sure if they will be bringing some of these colors back or just issues with the site ..

Has anyone’s pochette Métis developed a weird crease in the canvas at the bottom of the bag over time? I can come on my fingers the number of times I’ve carried my PM and I just noticed a crease at the bottom so I reached out to LV and was told that it is considered normal wear and tear but I just don’t see how a crease like that would develop like that in just one place. It’s actually not that noticeable but I can feel the indentation in the canvas. It actually feels more like a flaw in the canvas and not just normal wear and tear.

Omg mine didn’t do that (yet?) will the store replace it? That’s so annoying

Canvas doesn’t crease on its own arbitrarily. Perhaps how it was stored? Creases are a result of pressure in that area. Like when a speedy is folded down, it will develop creases where the pressure from the fold. It’s certainly not something LV will entertain.

They said it’s considered normal wear and tear. But I really think it’s just a flaw in the canvas on my bag. After each time I use my bag, I store it in its dust bag and put it back in the box laying flat on the back (zipper) side so there’s no way that could’ve caused it to crease at the bottom like that. I must say I’m pretty disappointed in LV’s quality control.

After each time I’ve used the bag, I’ve made sure to put it back in its dust bag and I store it in its LV box laying on it’s back (zipper) side so there’s no way the crease is from the way it’s stored. When I feel that part of the canvas compared to the rest of the bottom, it feels like the canvas has been stored folded in half at the crease which isn’t even possible because of where the crease is and makes me think I received the bag from LV with this flaw.

Did you go to the store? That’s a weird location to get a crease. They should at least offer exchange? How long have you had this?
