Hi! Mine is a reverse mono which I still love and prefer. The canvas “cracking” are not common on recent year Pochette Métis bags. The 2014-16 generation were a disaster and many were recalled. LV are amazing at fixing their issues and I would absolutely keep and enjoy the bag. Mine had a slight lifting of the glazing issue which LV fixed complimentary within 40 days. My bag was 2 years old at that point. I travelled/wore it daily for several years. It is still new looking: no wear on the corners or around flaps.

I since transitioned to Chanel mostly but PM is a beautiful casual bag I still cherish. Im actually thinking to add the new PM in that grey-blue with SHW they just released.

One more thing: I LOVED PM and heard about the recalls/canvas issues around the time I was buying mine. I still wanted it because.. well, it’s just one of the best casual bags ever. I knew LV were 100% behind their repairs and glad I took a chance on this model. The worse that can happen in the next 3-4 years is that you’ll send it in for repairs. The years I travelled/daily enjoyed this bag were well worth 40 days it was in repairs.

I have a reverse and it gets a lot of use. I have not had any problems with mine since I got it. I will say I had to look at 3 different bags before I chose mine due to quality issues. I would exchange yours for one that’s better quality. I think a lot of the original issues have been corrected (glazing, cracking, etc.) now it just seems They are trying to turn them out so quickly they aren’t paying attention to the details.

I would exchange it. We spend so much money on these purses and it's my opinion that they should be perfect or darn near close.

The first PM I purchased I found a scrape on the bottom of it. I returned it with no issues and got my replacement 4 days later. Now I have a perfect one and I'm so glad I didn't settle.

I totally agree. It just sucks that the bag is always out of stock… back to stalking the website :(

I’ve done it twice: expressed my frustration, described the flaws, waited for the Rep to suggest an exchange. Both times they did it. Much easier than stocking.

When I had trouble with mine, my SA ordered one to the store and when it came in, I brought the other one back. I have the turtledove and it's often out of stock also. You will be able to get one!

What does everyone thing of the empreinte bicolor Métis? Does anything think it is more worth it than canvas because it has a better change of wearing better and not really any chances of cracking or having issues?

If you search the forum, I am pretty sure you will come across at least one post where the leather on the lighter color logo pieces had peeled off on the bicolor PM. I think it's more expensive because it's a newer/trendier model. I doubt the quality and durability of the material has much to do with its price.
