Hi everyone, I have a milestone birthday coming up and my husband has said I can pick a bag.
I'd like to get a pm but there seem to be so many horror stories about it I'm scared!
Is there anyone on here who has had one that didn't start to have issues after 6 months or was poorly glazed etc when they got it?!

I'm also considering a st placide pm because it's soo feminine but I do need a cross body since the only cross body I have is a pink cherry wood that's not really an autumn/winter bag.

Thanks in advance!!

I have the PM and the reverse model. Both are doing great after 1 year of use. Good glazing and no peeling of the canvas. Some of the horror stories you read about here are minor imperfections all LV bags have, but some people cant see past that. For instance the glazing is never perfect, and almost all of them have some air bubbles or small dents. But it happens that a bag have an issue, and the people on purse forum are like detectives when it comes to finding faults, as we should when it comes to pricy handbags. We demand a nice quality.

If you are considering other bags I can also recommend the Cluny , or the Alma which are great looking bags with a nice structured shape.

Thanks for replying, that's great to hear. I do like the Cluny but I'm thinking it's not so great as a cross body like the pm is.
Thanks again

Hey guys. My first pm and first leather pieces. I got this right before the price increase last week. What do you guys think of this glazing? It being red I guess I can see the uneven-ness more. Below is a photo of the front of the bag - the v shape glazing area. And another photo of the back of the bag - the bottom glazing area

I also just noticed the left flower here too:

Thats the problem with this color combination, its not more sloppy than usual LV standards, but more visible to the eye. It would not bother me, except for the flower on the last photo. How visible is it if you see it without zooming in on it?

What a shame. That wouldn't work for me.

Thanks guys for the input. Even looking at it further away you can tell the glazing dipped into the flower. I will return this tomorrow. I will wait for another color to come along - too bad, got this before the increase too. having tried on a leather bag for the first time, it does feel very well made! Definitely will consider one in the future. Very strong chemical smells though, I assume this will go away within time?

The smell goes away when the bag have been out of its box for a while, normal with new bags that have been kept in boxes.

I wouldn't hesitate to get a PM. I have 2 and they are my favorite bags. I did have to send my noir in for repair because the lock would get stuck but otherwise there haven't been any issues since then. When I sent it off for repair I ended up purchasing the reverse because I couldn't be without a pm, that's how much I love it. I did have to compare a couple when purchasing the reverse because there were minor things with each bag but the one I got had great alignment, lock worked well and glazing was good. Both of mine get regular use and I haven't had any issues.

Just received this PM in noir empreinte. Bought it online. The glazing appears somehow “divided” when seen under direct light. Owners of the PM empreinte, do you think this is acceptable? Thanks in advance.
