I put a little $ in my "purse fund" each month and when I hit my goal, I'm able to buy a dream bag for myself, new, directly from the brand. I was able to snag an empreinte noir online and it'll be delivered to my local shop in a few days--I am so, so excited! It's my first LV.

If there's something defective with it, would the store be able to order me a new one, or would they just issue a refund and I'd have to wait until I was able to snag one online again? My local store never has this combo in stock.

I'm really hoping it's Made in France because knowing my crazy self, I'll probably want to return it while I'm there if it isn't. Yes, I know there's no difference in quality or construction but this will be one of my forever bags so I just would really like that feature. I wish I could let it go, believe me! Does anyone have an estimate of my chances of getting a MIF? Is it usually like, 1/5, or 1/10, r just impossible to know?

I feel like it'd be bad form for me to keep ordering the same bag online (when I'm able to find it available) picking it up/inspecting it at my local store, and returning it if it's not MIF. Plus, I'm sure there's a purchase or return limit. Any advice? Is my only other option--aside from somehow letting go of my MIF want--searching around Fashionphile, Poshmark, etc for my bag combo and wants? I see them listed sometimes but often for +$600 or more than the market price, which I understand given the demand, but frustrating nonetheless. TIA for any advice!

The last time I returned something, the bag had deep marks on the leather from the sewing machine, I called them out on it, but they just said, "we are sorry you are not pleased with the bag, you are welcome to exchange" Louis Vuitton will often not admit any faults what so ever. When I got informed that they have received my bag I got my second bag witch I kept and still have.

I live in Europe and in 9/10 situations I will get a MIF. My last buy, the toiletry 26 was made in spain though. It did not matter to me, I only care about the quality of the bag. I want good stitching, no scratches, good embossing, strong canvas print, piping and so on. I would rather have a well made, made in spain, then a scratched or faulty MIF. I have seen a lot of faulty MIF bags, so when I see a good one, I dont care where its made.

LV is a business and they are always expanding. Instead of the bags only being made in France, France is now only one of several countries the bags are being made. It may be a let down for some people, but it does not matter as long as the bag is made properly. MIF have good and bad bags, as the other countries have as well. Many feel LV is struggling with delivering enough bags, so the quality of the bags suffer for this being rushed in production. In my opinion its great that several factories around the world are being used to be able to cover the demand
