Thank you - this is good to know.

I’ve tried to get this bag about 4 times over the past six months (ordered all online) and each one looked dull, so I know it’s not just a certain batch that looks this way.

Yes, I bought two because I wanted to compare. I’ve not had luck with this purse in terms of defects and the overall look, but I think the right is finally the RIGHT one.

Thank you for your feedback!

I might be embarking on a similar journey, I just bought a PM a few days ago and will return it if it's not to my liking. Of the 4 PMs, did you return them online or in-store? Did they all come without date codes (meaning/assuming they have the microchip) or did some have the old date codes?

The first one I bought in the early Spring had a date code (made in France) but it was dull and I decided to return it. The two I recently bought did not have date codes. I bought both online and returned the one I didn't want online. I'm glad I did that as I was able to compare, and decided on one of them in the end.

P.S. None of the stores where I live had any PMs in empreinte leather so I was forced to but online.

I just posted this in another thread but thought I’d post it here too. I was just about to take my Empreinte Pochette Metis out for its second ever outing, it’s two and a half weeks old. I was really annoyed to see that on one of the clasps there seems to be a rusting thing going on? It’s been out of its dust bag once, to the play centre for about an hour, where it sat on a chair! Is this normal??? Should I bring it back?

I wouldn't say it's rust or a flaw. I'd just take a cloth to it and try to wipe or buff it off. I'm sure it would easily come off.

Take it back. Those marks shouldn’t be there on a brand new (very expensive) purse.

It could happen!! I’ll have to check it over carefully!
Yes, if you find a tiny fault on a LV item, it can be better to trade it for another one sometimes. The last time I did that on online shopping, I ended up doing it twice but getting other issues with the new ones, regretting that I didnt keep my original bag  All 3 bags had some issues. Often you are not switching a faulty bag for a perfect one, maybe just getting another one with new faults. So good luck, hope you will be satisfied

Well I would worry that it was only the start of the degradation of the metal on the strap, so I think I will replace. Hopefully just swapping out the strap will make it an easy exchange.

Ask for a replacement strap, they should be able to order that for you.
