How did you go? I changed mine today and now it's perfect! I definitely don't think it was normal! Even my SA agreed it was dodgy. GL!

I am considering getting a Pochette Métis but I am really torn between the Mono vs Empreinte turtledove. I envision using it in spring/summer but really all year round. I already have a black Coach Cassie so want to get a PM in a lighter colour. I have a PA in mono, so perhaps an Empreinte would be better, however I love the Mono print (although I’m not sure if it is too much for everyday? Is it too dark for spring/summer?), and would worry about colour transfer with the Empreinte turtledove.
Unfortunately it’s not an option for me to get both.

Yeah I sent him a video and he said it's normal. I think it depends on how you open it. Like when I had it against my body it was fine. But when I was opening it while laying flat, it kept getting stuck. Let's see! Glad to know yours is perfect! Enjoy!
I think the mono PM is easy to wear with both light and dark clothing. But the turtledove is more delicate and beautiful (and slightly under the radar). I am slightly more partial to the turtledove one.
*Repost from the “for the love of empriente” . I posted about my experience buying my Pochette Métis Empriente in Noir . My original post was regarding a flaw in the embossing and then it went down hill from there. LoL
I was almost willing to live with it being a little flawed because the leather felt nice and thick and the embossing was so deep and distinct, but after further inspection when I was comparing it with the other one I had ordered to compare it to , it definitely had a glazing issue that would be a problem later on , and a very deep scratch down the front of the bag . I couldn’t believe it . I noticed it when I got eye level with the bag on the table and then really noticed when I turned the bag upside down . I was shocked . I ordered this bag from the website , brand new date codes , but no protective sticker , or anything . Appeared perfect but someone must have used it and returned it because they scratched it . IDK how LV missed it . After I saw the scratch I couldn’t believe I didn’t notice it before !
Please let me be the PSA to inspect your new purchases very carefully . I learned my lesson to always buy an Empriente Piece in person . I did finally get the “perfect” bag . Not necessarily the very deep embossing all over but along the top flap and backside it’s very deep , and the front piece with the hardware is “evenly” stamped all over . I spent an hour comparing another 3 bags at the LV store until I finally settled on this one . I feel like all the super deeply embossed ones were sold years ago and mostly MIF . I did my fair share of research and after comparing so many PM Empriente Noirs in store as well as the one I ordered from the website to compare , that not all pieces are created equally.
The two I ordered off the website . The one on the right had the deep embossing , messed up LV stamp on left front flap , harder leather , no stickers , and the scratch , the one on the left, the front wasn’t deep enough and not evenly flat throughout the front where the S Lock was when you really looked at it , and felt very flimsy . I did so many comparisons and have driven myself a little nuts lol . I just want it to be as perfect as possible and for $3k I don’t think I’m asking for too much. I did finally return those two and got “as close to perfect” as I think I’m going to get without getting banned for going in for a 3rd time in 2 weeks to look through all the PM’s!
I think I’m happy lol . I know I have problems, but yet again , who on here can say they don’t have purse issues ? LoL

I live in Amsterdam and many months will be wet, rainy and gloomy day! I would like to used as daily bag and most of time I walk, use the tram and bike.. So, Do you think it will be ok to use it and wipe it off right away. What product I should use to protect the bag and handle.
What you guys think between Monogram and Reverse Version! Which one you like?

Given you want to use it daily yet have many months of wet and rain I would 10000% recommend reverse!!! It is so stunning anyway, the fact it has no vachetta is a huge bonus. I was always going to get mono as I never cared much for reverse then spontaneously changed my mind a few days before purchasing and I'm so glad I did. It's so beautiful, and different!
I just joined this club! I ventured out to shop since I’m fully vaccinated now and tried on several bags I’ve been eyeing (Bottega, Celine, YSL, and LV). None of the bags on my list felt or looked right. I asked the SA at LV if I could try on the Pochette Métis in leather (the boutique had the navy with the red lining) and it was too heavy for me. So he brought out the reverse monogram Pochette Métis and I fell in love with it. I thought I was truly done with monogram but I could not talk myself out of this bag. I am so happy to have this as my 41st birthday bag (I treat myself to one every birthday!)

I think I found a good one too ! Although I’ll always be on the hunt for that one with the super deep embossing , but maybe I’ll have better luck with the Marine Rouge PM when I add that one to my collection !
I was astonished that the scratch was there and someone returned it and got their money refunded . To peel off the protective stickers , use it , scratch it and no doubt returned it for full refund or exchange is just inexplicable, distugusting , and vile. The quality control at LV should’ve spotted that upon return . To be fair , I almost missed it too!

Nope, you never have to treat the canvas part of any bag, just some people choose to do so with their vachetta. But the reverse handle is treated leather so it won't stain or anything like vachetta. Just wipe it off
