I just bought a pochette metis reverse that I love but I am having trouble figuring out how to wear it. I am used to larger bags like the Neverfull that are secure on your shoulder because they are higher up and your arm holds it in place. I think I like the PM on the longest strap for cross body but it doesn't feel secure at that longer length when I wear it on my shoulder. Do you change the strap length when you wear it cross body versus on shoulder? Or do you wear it long on shoulder but just hold it in place with your hand? I am probably overthinking this but everyone says PM is so functional to wear and I am thrown off by the adjustable strap and how to use it. I also think it looks pretty good wearing it cross body at a shorter length but it seems from photos that most people wear it longer on hip and it also seems bulkier when it is shorter. TIA!
I use the strap on its longest setting when I wear it crossbody and shorten the strap when I wear it on my shoulder. Like you, it’s too long and doesn’t feel right on my shoulder on the longest length. I also switch out my strap pretty often, using the non-adjustable monogram strap from my Montaigne or one of the Bandouliere straps. Those seem to fall at just the right length for me. Try out different straps and see what works best for you. It’s a great bag overall and fits a good amount. Here’s one of my PMs with what I carry for quick errands, using the Bandouliere XL strap.

Thank you for all the wonderful posts. I am wondering if anyone has thoughts on the Bicolor PM choices, Black leather Bicolor vs. Creme Bicolor. I'm worried about nicks showing on the black leather and on the other hand, color transfer dirt on the creme/off white bicolor leather. Thank you for any advice on wearability and preference.

OK I spoke too soon lol

My lock doesn't pop open half the time! And it's a real struggle to open. Does that happen to anyone else's? Is it just because it's new?

I had the same issue. I thought it would get better with use but it didn’t. They sent it in for repair and replaced the lock. Works great now. I’d either exchange it or ask them to replace the lock.

Yeah I just looked at my St Germain bb which has the same lock and it just pops open with ease. Omg that is so annoying. I rang up and she refused to tell me if the store has stock or not?! I was like ummm I rang yesterday and they were fine to tell me lol

I know!! Mine too! Sometimes it opens up easily and sometimes I have to manually pull the flap up. I guess it depends on which angle I'm doing it from, but it sucks because I'm getting sore red thumbs from it. My husband says I'm just overthinking. Do you think it's a faulty lock?

I do think it's faulty. I'm returning mine today! My fingers hurt from it too! I really have to wrestle with it to get it open and can't do it one handed. Even when my St Germain is empty it literally just pops open with a slight squeeze of the lock

I notified my SA about this. He said it's normal and he'll send me a video to show how it should be used. I'll try to share it here if I find it useful. Lol
