Now I can say that my new one that I got the next day from the LV store I usually go to has holes you see from the threading but it isn’t pulling it to the point that the canvas is cracking. So if you just see where the thread it going through it’s normal but if it’s pulling through the canvas where it’s making it Split then that’s not normal because it is not suppose to do that.

I need help!!

A PA in DE popped up on Fashionphile for $750. Looks in great condition. Is it worth paying extra for a discontinued pattern? I really think I prefer DE over Mono or DA in this piece, but am kind of annoyed at the price gouging.

From a cost per wear perspective, do you all think the PA is worth that price?

At that price I think I'd rather pay a bit more and try to get a Favorite PM or maybe a used Eva, both which look cuter than the PA. I have the PA in DE and while I like it and use it quite a bit, one of the main reasons why I wanted it was for the lower price point, so having such a premium added to it would make it not worth it over getting a new Mono one from the store.

Thank you! I really want it as an SLG in other bags as well as a small handsfree bag for travel or very casual occasions. So I think you’re right and I appreciate you weighing in! Mono would be just as good for this kind of use.

So I need help with a decision...got this PA a week ago, haven't used it once and I just noticed bit of cracking on the edge....I feel like after some usage the crack is going to widen more...I'd expect cracks/wear&tear after few years of usage but not when I just bought it...should I be annoyed by it? (I bought 2 other PA's from the same location and both bags had stitching/cracks/lining issues in various places so I returned them...I bought mini DE from another location and no problems whatsoever) Can't tell if this issue is with this particular store or is the issue with certain canvases...Anyways should I keep this or return it?

Looking at the placement of the cracks, I want to say those are actually intentional cuts to divide the seam allowance of the canvas - the excess below is used to join the front and back to the side piece and the excess above is used to fold back over for a flat surface to join with the zipper and lining. I'd say if the worker had sewn the seam maybe half a millimeter closer on the right side then the cut wouldn't be as visible. But I don't think it's a problem. I would check my own PA to confirm but I'm work. Hope that helps a bit!

It looks like what you said could be true but at the same time I had a mono before and I don't recall a cut being in that particular region...my only concern is whether or not this crack will expand throughout the bag after few years of usage deeming it to be a waste...I don't know...thanks for your response though :smile:
