Hi all! I’m currently thinking about buying a Pochette but can’t really decide whether I should get it in the monogram or in DA. I would most likely being wearing the Pochette crossbody a lot (by adding a chain/strap) and am thinking which one would be more versatile and maybe more long lasting...?

I’m going to apologize in advance if I get any of the mannerism or lingo incorrectly. I’m very new to the forum and the world of luxury handbags in general :doh: any advice would be much appreciated!! Thank you :biggrin:

Just joined this club with this new to me MC Mono Pochette. I wanted one of these in high school so bad and found this one on Fashionphile for a steal - can't wait to use it this spring and summer. I also have the baby papillon pochette that came with my 2005 papillon 30 that I seriously need to take out more on its own. If there is one LV group I hope to have multi of, it's this one. I'm hoping for a DE NM at some point soon.

Welcome! I'm a newbie as well. I have the monogram in the old model that I purchased pre-loved and the damier ebene new model that I purchased off their website in December. I love both pieces! The newer ones are slightly bigger with a small pocket inside. They are both very versatile. You can purchase a chain strap for a more dressy look and a leather strap to make it more casual. There are a lot of options out there. The monogram does have the leather tab/strap that patinas over time. I'm sure you can search on this website for more info on that. Whichever you decide, you're going to love it! :biggrin:

Monogram was my choice for my first, and I also went with the new model, it’s slightly bigger (wider at the bottom) and is lined with the small pocket inside...just seemed more like a small purse to me than a catch all, and Since I was planning on using as a small purse, the NM made more sense for me. My only DA piece is a mini pochette, and I really like it, but prefer the mono canvas between the two.

Little beauty, congratulations! I agree with you, and the Pochette is the bag I keep buying, lol. I have three now, an Epi in red, a Monogram NM (my favorite) and a multi color like yours, but in black. Which I’ve been wearing this week, love it!

Gorgeous! Where did you get the long chain strap? Is that from LV? I've got a vachetta leather strap that goes to a Bally bag I also own that I'm thinking of using when I want to make the pochette a crossbody but that is truly gorgeous in the gold chain!

That gold chain is LV, it’s the Felicie chain. I love it with my pochette s, because it’s slightly shorter than the standard crossbody length, so it hits me just right. And it’s not thick and heavy, so works with my mini pochettes too

I've seen many things online that say call for availability one day, and then later they are in stock and you can add to your cart. If it's no longer available to order online, I would think they'd completely remove that item from their online store
