Hello, LV pochette experts! I've just bought a preloved old model pochette because it looks like the perfect easygoing small crossbody. Now I'm having fun looking at straps! There's tons of info on the forum of course, but I have one question:
Those of you with longer hair, does a chain strap get annoying?? I've had issues with other bags where my hair gets caught in the links...

I did not have issues with my hair getting caught in the links (my hair goes to my waist). However I found that the chain got too heavy after awhile and hurt my shoulder. I think you'll need to find the right balance of wide enough to not dig but also not so thick that it doubles the weight of the bag. I opted for a leather strap lol.

Edit: Just adding that my chain was sort of a cheap one from China so that may be why it was so heavy

Thanks!
I think I'll go your route and do a leather strap. And maybe a short chain for a sort of Pallas clutch look...

Does anyone with the NM pochette have issues with the sides bulging overtime? I noticed the NM are all nice and square but the OM ones tend to have sagging/bulging sides and bottoms. Will the NM become like that overtime due to the weight of the items in them?

I only have the NM but I think it’s probably more about the wider, more squared design of the bottom of the NM. There’s some good you tube videos comparing the two, here’s a screen shot from a comparison video by Eva in the City that shows the two side by side

Hi, thanks! I have actually already seen this video. My question is more of a wear and tear on the NM, not so much a direct comparison between it and the OM. Even though the sides are wider on the NM, I don't see anything different in the construction that would prevent a saggy bottom similar to how most OM's are. So I'm asking if the NM will get that slouch over time. If anything I would guess the NM would sag MORE because there is more material to sag. Does that make sense?

It makes sense. I've always thought the saggy bottom look of the OM was because the design of the bag was more rounded on the bottom, vs wear over time. But it could be due to wear.. mine is nearly two years old, and I use it a lot, and so far no sag, but it's still pretty new. The other thing with the NM is that because of the wider base, it will sit up when you're using it or storing it, so maybe that also helps keep the sag at bay.

Yes, I always wondered if the saggy bottom was the actual design or due to wear. I've never seen a new OM so who knows? haha

I'm hoping the NM will not slouch as I like the sharper square look it currently has. I guess we'll see with time though. I'll try to sit it on it's bottom more to keep it flat just incase. Maybe someone who has had the NM longer can comment.

Hey, Everyone. Really want to join the club. Been looking for one on fashionphile and trades but can’t find a NM that is priced well enough to justify not buying it new. Anyone have a Demier Eben!? Any tips on how not to make it darker? My Cles has become much darker.

Hi everyone! My strap from Mcraft arrived today and I'm debating on whether or not to return it. It's a little too long for my liking. What do you think? Where do you all like your bags to hit?View attachment 3932674

Hi! Just wanted to let you know Mcraft actually does custom lengths for the straps. If you don’t love this length then I’d look into a custom length. I looked at a lot of pictures and lengths on this topic and ended up going with 43”. I am 5’2”. Hope this helps!
