Like some others here, I wish I had started with the silver bracelet and a gold clasp. Now when people ask me where to start, I always tell them to bite the bullet and get the one with a gold clasp.
When trying to decide what colour I would go for, I looked at the colours that I wear most. Turns out that it is black and white or black and brights. So I went with a black and white colour scheme, filled in with beads that have clear cubic zirconia. I travel to China frequently for work, so I went with an Asian theme. There are not a lot of Pandora beads in Asian theme, but I have found some - yin ynsg, fish, a now retired one with Chinese calligraphy, etc. Then I filled in with spacers and clips. I love the look of the bracelet. Wear it often.
I have another bracelet on the go that is mostly mauve-y pinks. I bought that new pink & purple bead that just came out and two other pink Murano beads. I have 4 birthstone spacers mine (Aug), my husband's (Nov) and his two children's (Jan & Oct) as well. Mine, DH and DS are the only deviation from the pink theme. But they are all pastel and look pretty strung together. This one has a couple of Chamillia beads and some Pandora spacers. I move the clips from bracelet to bracelet. Once this one is full, I am thinking of buying other colour Muranos and just changing the colours on one bracelet or the other when I really want a change. That way I won't have to invest in a gazillion silver or silver & gold beads. Not such a big fan of all gold beads. They do not seem to suit my colouring or my wardrobe as much as silver. Lucky thing for my pocketbook, I suppose.
