Can you post a link to the sellers site so we can see a picture, and the sellers info? I don't remember a bear head either. I questioned the authenticity of a charm, and Paypal refunded my money.

Hi everyone,

Pandora did make a bear head charm several years ago which is now retired. I don't own one, but can only assume that it's stamped ALE like all others.

Perhaps you can call a dealer which still carries it to ask? Here one link I found:

http://www.retiredpandora.com.au

If you scroll to the bottom and click on retired beads, you'll see it in there.

Yes, they are of a very good quality and IMO they are expensive even in all silver. The all silver beads are less costly and will run around $25 - $35 each, count on more (even double that amt) if you get beads with stones or gold. But, the quality of the workmanship is very good. A full bracelet holds approx 21 charms, so multiply that by $30 (average amount of a silver charm) and you are well over $600, not including the cost of the chain bracelet. They are so much fun to collect, just collect responsively and try not to go crazy at first (like I did).

Pandora is of VERY good quality. My fiance jokes that I am allergic to cheapness, because I will break out into hives if my jewelry has any form of nickel or other cheap metals. I have not once broken out into hives wearing my Pandora!

It can be an expensive addiction to develop, even in all silver. I don't have any solid gold charms because I don't like too much yellow gold, but with two bracelets (one not even full yet), my collection is worth quite a pretty penny.

I am very excited at the moment, I have ordered myself the white leather bracelet, little girl, little boy and cupcake charm! Can anyone who has the leather tell me how many charms you should put on it? Some places I have read only 6 and others say up to 10

i get that reaction to cheapjewellery too! its horrible .... thats the real reason why i was so curious about the quality . i can only wear silver, or gold anything cheap or even expensive costume jewellery does it to me and i hate it, i wish there were a way around it.
im so excited about getting my first charm lol :yahoo:

In the back of the Pandora catalogue, it says a MAXIMUM of 7-9. Any more than that, and you risk them not repairing/replacing it if it breaks. Most people I know who have one say that they wouldn't put any more than 7 on it, though.

You should be okay with Pandora. Have fun purchasing your first charm! Any idea what you are going to get? :smile1:

I think I'm actually starting to calm down on Pandora now after 3 years! I've been pretty unimpressed with the last few releases and don't really like the next release too much either. There are still a few of the older ones I want though x

Hi,

I wonder if someone could be so kind to help. I am not sure if I have bought a fake off ebay and would like it if someone could confirm for sure.

The charm in question is the bear head - this is a retired charm and the one I received has no ALE hallmark. Does anyone have a picture of a genuine charm they could post up for me to compare and does it bear the ALE mark?

Thanks everyone.

Hello Hunni, The bear was part of the first collection and it doesnt have an ale because the first collection didnt. the first how ever many they made to launch, then when they went into production for the second collection the ale came in. who was the seller? JFX jewelry? they are legit and I use them often :)
I have attached a pic of the first collection bear is there!
Hope this helps!
Duckie :)

You can basically narrow things down if they say "fits pandora" or "like pandora" or "pandora style" . There are a few sellers that are popular - not sure if I can mention them but basically look at their feedback score - make sure its 100% or very close to that and see what other pandora items they have for sale. You could always ask us here to check for you if you need.:smile1:
