 Congrats, my dear! :hugs:

My crazy find... a s/s 2004 white PH city! I had written off this HG, as an impossible wish, having never seen one for sale anywhere. And I also feared that there might not be any great condition, bone white color ones (without yellowing to ivory) out there anymore! The only photos I have ever been able to find anywhere of this bag are from powderpuff, on page 8 here in this thread! But look what I just found!!!!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW .. simply gorgeous!!! Congrats!!!!!

Sweet!! Chemosphere, 2004 White w/ Pewter hardware City is a fantastic find, congratulations! I love the combination of bone white w/ silver, very cool!!! It isn't impossible to find wonderful condition pale bags, but it sure is a joy to do so.

I have a new-to-me bag too, from F/W '04...it's a Marigold Twiggy and (best part) it matches my LE '10 Jaune Mini First Coin Purse!!!

Here we are:

Hey Corey
You got your Marigold!!! You said if one ever came up you were keeping it. Isn't it great that if we just wait long enough they appear? Glad that you have it....especially since YOU are the one who usually makes sure WE get what we want.

Thanks! I have been looking for this color for a while (since I got my '10 LE Jaune Mini First Coin Purse) since it didn't match my F/W '07 Jaune bag. This 2004 Jaune (Marigold) is perfect. Can I tell you all a little secret? Okay, it's not secret if I'm posting on the Internet...but anyways...I got this bag a week ago and when it arrived I was not happy. It was dirty, more dirty and used than I could see in the auction pics. At first I thought she need professional assistance to clean her up and hope for the best. This weekend I decided to give it a go with my Apple brand Cleaner, Care Conditioner (which I added saffron powder too!! Oh My!!) and Balenciaga Nourishing Cream to re-apply the glaze for a bit of shine.

I worked hard cleaning ol' Mary here and I am more than pleased with the results, the dirt is gone, the leather is clean and places that I over-scrubbed are now the same color b/c I dyed them with a spice. Seriously, I cannot believe it worked...but I remembered the color and thought about natural dyed materials. Anyways, I'm thrilled and love my bag w/ it's LE '04 Marigold Redeux Mini First Coin Purse!!! :cloud9:

Thanks, Corey and maxxout!!!!

Corey, big congrats on finally finding the perfect match! I am going to have to show my dh your pics since he has a thing for minatures. Thanks for commenting in detail about your cleaning of this oldie and the results. I have used apple cleaner sparingly too, but have worried that perhaps I shouldn't be attempting that on these rare oldies. So it is good to hear that even the oldies experts use it sometimes too! Oh and I love that vibrant safflower against the black outfit too!

This is brilliant and totally brave and a little crazy. Only you could pull this off. Saffron is a royal $pice...even more so now.
