chemosphere: I found her in a consignment store here in NYC that specializes mostly in Chanel and the like, in the very back in a display case. (down the street from INA, where you found your unicorn ;) ). they have a storefront on eBay as well, but I think the MU and other accessories are too inexpensive to trouble with putting up on the website.

Oh cool! What a crazy find to just come across in a display case! Wow! Huge congrats again, Chloe!!! I LOVE my black ph MU (use her everyday inside my bags!).... thanks again, *S*! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying using mine!

That really is so exciting to find such a rare little gem like that. You guys are making me very excited for my 03 lilac Makeup (from a very awesome tpf'er!) I'll post pics as soon as it arrives - probably next week bc it's coming from Australia. Chemosphere I think your Black PH MU is from the same person! (Kinda like long long sisters lol)

Thank you everyone; I'm very excited to find her.

It's pretty hard to find a treasure in NYC in consignment - I rarely look because so many are vintage savvy and charge accordingly. I am not a big Chanel person, but I remembered the name of the boutique from their eBay moniker, where they had once listed a Bal, so decided to take a look. For an oldies newbie, I am so surprised at how different the leather feels and looks. Not really smooshy, almost papery and super soft...I haven't had this style either, so I'm not sure what I will use her for! She is just so cute.

Congratulations on your lilac PH MU Fashion1. I am sure she will be worth the wait. you must post pics when you get her.

Oh, cool fashion! Our little "sisters" can keep in touch through us ;-). I can't get enough of pics of the ph MU's so I'll be looking forward to seeing your photos! I used to have *S*'s ex lilac 03 city for a bit too, (bought it from the person she sold it to). I miss that beauty.... wonder who has it now, since a consignment/re-seller bought it from me?! Anyway, congrats on your great ph MU addition.... hope you enjoy it tons!

chloe speaks - my heart would have almost popped out of my chest if I spied that MU in the cabinet. NYC consignment stores are the BEST!!! - I remember seeing a white PH MU and an 04 s/s Yellow PH First in one when I was there last spring.

It's so nice to see this thread being adding to all the time and also to know that many of these rare and beautiful oldies are staying in 'the family" :D

silverfern, am I making bold assumptions when I say: and now they live with you? :p

i think alot of vintage designer things consign in NYC because alot of people who buy designer stuff live here. but it's usually priced accordingly. i hear of vintage finds like the 80s Alaia dress in the 99 cent bin at the Goodwill! that would never happen here!

^^haha no I was able to resist seeing as they were a bit too beat up for me and there was just so much other stuff to drool over. I agree there aren't really many true bargains to be had but still, I love the thrill of the hunt!

Congrats again anyway, your MU is such a stunner :love:

Look what came today - 2003 Lilac PH Makeup! So cute and mint condition too. I love how even though it has no wear, it still feels vintagy due to the muted color and the pewter hw. Yum! Thank you *S*!
