Dark caramel is so yummy, especially with the pewter. Don't know why, but with designer bags I am always drawn to the oldies. I'm waiting on an oldie city with pewter. It needs a good cleaning and I'll send it to LMB for the handles, but I'm hoping other than that it's in decent shape.
^^^Ooooh can't wait to see your PH beauty Fashion1! LMB do a great job with handles so I bet it'll look fantastic after it's all prettied up

(I'm just wasting away 3 hrs at Changi Airport in your old home town, waiting for my connecting flight. Made it into town on my way over -- thanks for all the info -- but this time it's a little tight, only 3 hrs until boarding time and I'd like to grab a shower too so fear there isn't enough time to get into town and back. Shame. Had a good time away but am ready to be back with my family now.)

Ok ladies - is there any recent Bal color that's somewhat close to 04 Seafoam? Perhaps 2010 Vert d'eau? I am in love with my new to me seafoam city, but it's missing the tassels. Pics to come after some slight surgery and conditioning! Better condition than I was expecting.
Ooh! Congrats on your seafoam city! I just got a seafoam city this past Mom's day too, but I haven't had a chance to share pics yet. Mine has tassel issues too (they are all shortened...but it isn't bothering me, surprisingly). I think that 10 vert d' eau IS probably the closest color (could you let me know if you manage to score some from a Bal store?!). Missty has some great pics comparing 04 seafoam to the other two closest shades (Papeete and the earlier vert d' eau... I think it was).... but neither of those are that close a match for tassels sake.
Anyway, congrats again and I'll be looking forward to your pics. Yay for being in even better condition than expected too!
After I knew which bag you got I looked it up on "sold" ebay and was afraid that it might even be in worse shape or even fake so I am THRILLED to hear that it is OK. Was it that one with only one picture? You brave thing, you. What daring!!
Anyway, I notice that you have a white Bal in your avatar. If it has extra tassels, send them to LMB and they will dye them 04 seafoam.

Chemosphere, congrats on your Seafoam city! I was able to save at least one of the tassels on the front, although it's shortened. I'm going to call around to the boutiques and will let you know if I find some 10 Vert D'eau tassels! Can't wait to see your pics.
Maxxout, yes that's the one on Ebay! I was seriously nervous. The seller did send me some more pics so I was pretty sure it was authentic, although I could tell it wasn't in the best shape. Luckily the gals authenticated it today. By surgery I just mean a good cleaning, trimming of the fraying on the handles, conditioning, and applying edge kote where needed (probably not the best choice of words but I was watching House lol). I'm still working on it and will try to post pics tomorrow night. The front had quite a lot of dirty areas, but thank goodness baby wipes took most of it off and the leather still feels like butter.

WOW ...so you can clean it and the leather will still be buttery soft, huh? That's good to know.
