You're right the dimensions are a bit off. Most likely the small tote and a good price too. The current retail for the small tote is $525.
Can anyone with a black tote tell me how it it wearing in? Does the bag soften with use? How does the color hold up? Do the corners wear much?

It wears pretty well over time, however I do not think it softens up very much. The corners will show wear, but can easily be touched up with black polish. I also treat my bags routinely with any of the recommended products and I have been very satisfied.
it's a great travel bag!! just came back from a trip and used the pouch to hold all our passports. i have a purse-to-go so i just zipped everything up when i had to put it through the baggage scanner.
Here's a picture of my large black/oro tote! I've been using it as a work tote for about a week, so far it's holding up well.
I was worried that the metallic interior might be too flashy for work, but once I fill it up and there's less reflective surface, it's actually quite discreet, especially when I carry it on my shoulders. I do wish the straps are a couple of inches longer though.

My black/oro tote arrived today from BG! It's actually a large size and it's perfect for work! And I dunno why but BG's price is $90 cheaper than the suggested retail price!! Only $495 and no tax for me!! But the large black/flamma tote is still $585! So anyone who'd like to buy a large black/oro tote, BG would be the best place to get it!
By the way, any suggestion in terms of purse organizer for the large tote? I'd like to buy one for this bag!
The veg-tanned leather smells so good! I must say this is a much better quality product from MG compared to the calf red crossbody I bought and returned! That calf smelled so bad and felt plasticky! From now on with MG bag I would definitely stick to veg-tanned leather!
