Hi, all! I'm normally over in the LV forum but have been looking at alternatives to my Neverfull tote. The MG Large tote has caught my eye. Would love to hear from anyone who happens to have both totes and which you prefer and why? I'm specifically interested in hearing about the comfort of the straps and handle drops (I'm almost 5'10"), and how both the exterior and interiors wear. I am looking at the Camello or Brandy colors. TIA!

I have a neverful I don't use it heaps, I returned the MG totes partly because I have a neverful. I found the MG ones gaped open at the top more and felt it was less secure. The neverful seems to come together better under my arm. I decided on a lady bag instead as it has the flap closure and I'm much happier with my decision. The totes look great in pics IMO but it just wasn't "me" in real life and didn't suit what I wanted. Any time I needed a bag that big I would have needed more security for the top. Don't think I will get another because when I bought it I paid AUD$629 from NAP who this time have put it up over AUD$800!!!

I have 3 large totes and I have been using them exclusively since I started purchasing MG bags. My neverful has not seen daylight ever since. I prefer the Mansur totes. The neverful does close, which is probably more advantageous, and also holds up better in foul weather (the MG does stain more easily) but I just enjoy these totes more. I like that they don't have a logo and are less recognizable. They are very simplistic and clean looking. They are comfortable to carry and fit a ton of stuff. I condition them on occasion, but do not mind the flaws.

Thank you soooo much for your reply! There is not a place locally for me to see them, so I would have to purchase online. I would love to see photos of yours if you don't mind posting? Are any of yours unlined? Do you feel that the handles are longer and more comfy than your NF? Sorry for all the questions, but I really appreciate your insight! I am drawn to these bags for all the reasons you mentioned. I have been thinking a lot lately about wanting to carry totes that are less recognizable/sans logo. I would keep using my LV SLG's though. Thanks again.

None of mine are unlined, they are all coated. I have not measured the handles but I find them equally comfortable to carry. I will try to take a picture later.

I don't have a Neverfull but have had a large mansur tote (raw interior) for a few years now. I love it and it's my workhorse bag when I need to carry a lot of stuff. It goes with everything and as with all Mansur bags it's very understated, lightweight and amazing quality

If you can't buy locally and see them in person, I would recommend doing a "test purchase" at an online boutique the offers returns so that you can actually see if you like it before committing to a MG online purchase (no returns). If that makes sense!

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Would love to see a pic of yours with what you carry in it! 🙂

Totally makes sense. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
