The first tote I bought from them was made in China. They moved production to Italy because the quality is better. There are some fakes that are being produced in China.

Is there a way to check what they produce in China and what in Italy?

They are all made in Italy now. They started in China when they began but they moved production for all bags to Italy now.

Everything is now made in Italy and will say on the tag. If it is an older bag from the first production, it will say that it is made in China, or if it is recently made shipping out of China it is most likely a fake and it will may say made in China. When I look at MG bags on EBay I always skip the ones shipping out from China.

I'm a CPA that needs a sturdy bag to haul files and papers in. I have 3 of the small totes and abuse all of them with the weight of the files. They are pretty sturdy.

The MG totes have a firm base so don't tend to sag!
