I'm loving my tote and have used it every day since I got it. I got the small tote. It is a nice size - not really small at all. It is very comfortable on the shoulder and I feel that it is pretty secure when shoulder carried. I love that the bright interior is so visible. Weather is getting colder here so once I move to a heavier jacket, I'll put it away until the spring. I just find it works better with lighter clothes and I have other bags I prefer to wear over a heavy coat.

I love my totes, and use them as work bags every day. I tried using mine as a "purse" with a zipper insert, but it is just too big for me, for that purpose. I suppose I would prefer a small in that case. The large is a great workhorse bag to load up for work or travel, in my opinion.

Yes the small is a perfect size "purse". I use a large chameleon structured insert with it.

There is not much difference in strap drop between the large and the small (9" vs 8.5") but for practical purposes I think people have found a more significant difference. The small tote would be a snug fit on the shoulder over a heavy coat but I understand the large tote is easier to fit over a heavy coat. I don't have a large - just repeating what I have heard on here.

Thanks for everyone's input. I am thinking of returning it. I love and want it just to have one but honestly I really can't see me using it. I don't want it to go to waste in a dust bag.

Ladies, I LOVE my large totes!

I currently have two totes that I have gone back and forth on using for several months--a cammello/antico and a black/ballerina. These have worked so well for me. I believe the MG tote is my perfect bag.

I love the lines of it. It is a great looking bag. But when I need a bag to carry a ton of stuff it works for that, too. And it is tough! You can polish it up on the outside and clean any spots off in the inside.

I purchased and then sold off a MG bucket. I ordered and returned a mini backpack. I have a regular backpack I have used and liked on trips. I purchased a large lady bag but have never used it--may be a sell. But the large totes have been been the perfect MG bag for me!

I've been using my small tote almost daily since I got it earlier this summer - so much so that I just got another one in black from the recent relaunch. It's been the perfect tote for me in that I can fit a lot in it, and it looks proportioned to a petite person. I use a large Madewell clutch to hold everything inside. I like having the extra security of something closed.

Loving my brandy/avion regular sized tote!!! I don't have to baby it, in fact already has scratches, and is the perfect throw everything in and go tote!! 😄 will snap a mod shot when I get a chance!

I use my tote less than my bucket but it is so great when I have large items or a lot of stuff to carry around. It's a great work bag too. I'm usually a smaller bag girl, but I make an exception with this tote

I just took mine on a business trip earlier this month. I used the dustbag inside the tote with my stuff inside for some privacy/security (an organizer with a zipper would work too) in case it tipped over on the plane or something. I was a little nervous since mine is cammello, but it's held up really well. I usually travel with Le Pliages, but this was a nice alternative.
