That came out amazing!! How hard was it to dye?

I've been thinking of buying a used Vernis Lexington pouch or one of the vernis totes for cheap and dyeing it.

It was super easy. I had issues with the vachetta because I tried to tape it off. I think it would have been fine if I had used a small paint brush and painted the dye around it. I used a wool dauber to apply the dye. After it dried for an hour, I used an old t-shirt to rub off any excess dye and did a second layer.

It came out so good! Any idea how long the dye lasts?

I've been debating buying a vernis peice off eBay and dying it black for my sisters birthday. I've found the vernis pieces are pretty inexpensive on eBay.

I am going to pick up my bag today and the dye should be here by Friday. Have to go to a baby shower Saturday so hoping to get to dying by Sunday. I am contemplating dying the inside too but also thinking do I want to get myself into that mess. We will see. :amuse:

Hi everyone! I have no experience in trying to "rescue" any purse, so I want to get some opinions. I got this purse preloved, speedy b 30, in the listing it was NOT disclosed to have cracks in the canvas. When I checked it out, it was one of the first things I saw, although it is tiny. What do you think, should I return it or keep it and try to fix it? I thought about using a needle to apply some glue just to prevent it from getting worse. I paid $500 off retail for it, while a good deal, I'm not really convinced that was a "steal" now with this crack to deal with. What would you do? IMG_1484800336.090507.jpg

$500 off the retail is still high if there is a crack on canvas. Because if there is any damage on leather parts wouldn't they refuse to fix as there is a crack on canvas? I wouldn't risk it personally.. Plus I've seen some people sell for about same price second hand without any cracks.. So I think it kind of depends if you are willing to wait to find another one?

Return it. LV will never repair it because of the crack......
