End results...I am happy and satisfied. Will let her dry for a day...spray a tad bit of Febreeze on a towel and go over the fabric and she is all set and ready to be carried. Just in time for business travel next week. Ladies thanks so much for all the handy tip and tricks. :D

Huge congrats, I'm so glad it worked out for you :happydance: it takes work and patience but is so worth it!
I've been doing the same with a toiletry pouch 15 I received today, however it think I left a baby wipe in contact with the Vachetta tab as I've caused water marks, so looks like she may be going in to lv for a repair!

What about LMB? You think that may work instead of the repair?

It's very severe I don't think anything will work, I had to clean the zipper a lot with wipes and it seems perhaps the moisture saturated the tab from inside to? I actually used a blow dryer on it and got impatient, the tab has shrunk a little and looks worse! Lol
It's my first bit of bad luck with renovating a vintage/preloved piece so I'm not too upset. I've not bought anything new in mono for a very long time so it would be nice to relearn how to get even vachetta! Retrain with a tiny piece!

Well thanks to you and JeansNMyCloset, I didn't even know this kind of thing was possible. This is why I love the forum, you never know when you will find priceless info! ;)

Hi all,

hi dany_37 thanks very much for your advice. There are the pictures of my pre-loved bucket:p (sorry for the quality and language) ;)

Here are before and after pics of my Mono Speedy 30 after piping and zipper pull replacement. This bag is 23 yrs. old and I must say it has held up pretty well. I contemplated replacing the handles as well but the cost wasn't justifiable to me. The piping replacement was also pricey however the piping was in pretty bad condition as you can see on the attached photo. The repair has brought new life to this bag, previously it was a very slouchy and sagging but now has a more structured form, in the photo you can see that bag is able to stand on it's own without any items inside. I am very happy with the repair. I have cleaned the handles a bit but will do a more thorough cleaning when I have time. I hope this helps anyone deciding on wheter to replace the piping on thier bag. The piping replacement was $210 and the zipper pull was done as courtesy in the LV store.
Thanks for posting this! I always wondered about piping replacement since they would have to take it all apart to do it!

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the front snap replaced on a LV wallet? Sometimes I see them on ebay and the snap may be missing but they are otherwise in good condition.
TIA!

I think front snaps are free, I put my 6 key holder in a few weeks ago (but as I also asked about an additional hook and possible work on the stitching, I haven't heard back yet), will update if I get an answer soon.
