wow your bag looks so awesome!!!! they did a great job. enjoy her.:smile1:

I figured this thread could use a BUMP! I have one rescued Petit Noe and she is showing her wear... I've noticed some serious cracks in the vachetta and stains that can't be removed. I love this bag too much to think about getting a new one.

I've decided (after reading this thread in its entirety) that I'll be taking her to my closest boutique for a vachetta replacement quote. I will let everyone know how much they quote me!

I was about to ask if 2/3 of the retail cost sounded right! That's what I was told for my Petit Noe this weekend. The piping on the Noe is just located at the bottom and that doesn't need to be done... I wonder if that will affect the final cost. :thinkin:

Just came back for a look at this thread after being MIA for a while. Its so good to see that used and abused LVs are still be rescued and giving new life. Keep it up ladies!

I'm new to PF and just finding my way around. I have a 80 or 81 Bi Face (before date coding) - NOS, pristine. I need to work out how to post pix and then will reveal on this thread for comments, dating (I think 80 or 81) It's sat in a dust cover in closet unused for 30 yrs! All the hardware is shiny gold (ie, brass) like new, except the D rings on either side up top into which to hook the handle and the strap. I've worked micro surgery with Qtip and 'eco friendly' brass remover - it's coming up shiny, liquid gold..ie., brass. But it takes a long time with super precision so as not to touch the vachetta. Interestlingy the push latch on one side has some odd small 'alloy' spots - ie., not pure brass. Any advice on what else to do with the hardware? BTW: comes with key on original yellow thread - totally amazing. Can't wait to post pix. :)
