Lol that's a gd idea though I really am flying off to Melbourne on tuesday :D

I took a comparative photo of my 2 bangles from UJ. They look similar but different. One is more greenish while the other has a blue grey base. My absolute fave at the moment!

More new beads!!! These are oil green from 3jade. The tracking never updated, so I thought they were still in China, but they arrived today! Pics in bathroom light, sunlight and with the bangles I will wear them with.

Also, since it's a slow day on the thread, thought I would share one of the new cloisonne bead pics, with lapis and jadeite (sadly B grade) bangles.

Claire, that's very exciting that your friend ordered her Siberian white bangle from Allan! I can't wait to see it!

Welcome fluffypants! Good luck with your jade bangle hunt and if you're good at negotiating, then in person you may do very well getting a price you like on a bangle that you love and that they fitted on you perfectly! You can also negotiate with some of the online sellers.

Hi Kingfisher! I forgot to thank you for your sweet words about my pooch! Yes, that pup is beloved and adored! For my crowned bangles, I realized recently that I need to put the silver banded ones in a zip lock plastic bag instead of just a cardboard box. Seafoam's silver bands started to tarnish a little, but a polishing cloth cleaned it up nicely.

Molly, your new pendant is gorgeous! I've been eyeing those Maori twist designs, too... How does its colors compare with Milford?

Ms Lin, I love your 2 new bangles with their splashes of red! How perfect you have 2 different main shades so you wear the one you feel like on any given day! Nice beads, too!

fanofjadeite, yes you're right - Mochi is calming to wear! I hope your new UJ bangle arrives soon!

Pretty soft calming stacks, Red!

Congrats on your newest beads crosso! I like how the greens look good with both jadeite and nephrite! Is the left wide bangle B.C. nephrite? That pop of green in your treated jade bangle does look great with your cloisonné beads and the lapis bangle! Do you ever stack the 2 of them?

Hi jadies! I've been here but lurking. Tired but plodding on... vog is really messing up my recovery.

Loving everything that's been posted....!

Here's a stealth shot of some jade in the wild. When I had to go to Oahu for work, I stood behind this woman waiting in line to pass through security. Lovely lavender...

Hi Connie! Could you give us more info on this bangle? At first glance, I am suspicious that it's treated and dyed. (Especially because of what looks like a network of dye lines.) There are natural jades with this color and translucence, but they are hundreds of thousands of dollars. If it's treated, it's fine if you don't mind treatment. So long as the seller is honest and charges a fair price.

Thanks, J4Me and Claire!
J4Me, I haven't stacked them before, but now that I have some seed bead separators, I think I will!
Have not been wearing any bangles on my right the last few days as I slipped on the ice and bruised my wrist/forearm badly!😡 Hate this cold, ice and snow!!!

Looking for some advice. I recently was gifted my infinity twist that I love! However, I'm forever changing and reworking jewelry (and other accessories too, for that matter!) sometimes successful, sometimes not so much :D
So my dilemma is that I'm dying to put my infinity twist on a gold chain! Do you think I would be destroying the integrity of the piece since it has a "look" of continuity with the natural woven jute with the beads and all? I would likely not be able to restore it back to it's exact state since there is some wrapping involved. On the other hand, I'm dying to put the twist on a gold chain! What to do?. . .

Crosso, sorry you've slipped! Ugh, I hate this cold too! Thankfully you're not more badly hurt!

Molly, I too would want to put it on a chain. Just think the gold would show off the jade more...and, the beads could be added to chain too through a wire link which goes through a bead, and at the end of the bead, it would hook into a link on the chain... Hope that makes sense! If you would wear it more then I say go for it.
