Well your knot and @Croisette7 ’s are perfect, and when I look at Cherryblossom’s tutorial, it looks easy as pie. But when I used this H scarf ring, which is quite large, I could barely get the fabric through. Then I tried a very large shawl ring, but that was unsatisfactory. Then tried with a chain d’ancre- too small. I feared for my silk and the hem with the ring and cd’a. Photos in exact order as described in my post. Not sure this knot is doable for me.

For dear @Karenska

It's the 'Angel Wing Knot' tutorial that I posted on my Instagram.

First, I must say that this knot is not my own invention - I saw a picture of the completed knot from pinterest, and there were no tutorial or the name of the original creator. Someone saw my version in Instagram and asked me about how to tie this knot, so I made this tutorial for her. For convenience, I named it 'Angel's wing' knot, because the drapes of front reminded me of the angel doll's wing I used to play with..

You can make this knot with your Epherons scarf ring or Chaine D'Ancre scarf ring or the large size rings for shawl such as the Trio GM ring. (There was an opinion that a original sized Trio ring was too small to make this knot)

Hope it helps, my dear friends!! :hugs:

** To adjust the drapes more easily:

Then it's done!! :hbeat:

For @LKBNOLA, @Living.la.vida.fifi and @Nomad, a new knot sort of based on @Yoon daily scarf ’s beautiful angel wing knot. Yoon, I hope you don’t mind my using two of your photos as reference points. For a 90.
1. Make a diagonal or asymmetrical fold:

2. Place around neck and fold two points as in photos 5 and 6 of Yoon’s tutorial for the Angel Wing, directly above my post here.

3. Taking the two inner points of the fold, thread an anneau ring and pull up. Adjust each quarter or “lung”, smooth out fabric to form the desired look - see my final photo.

See Yoon’s photos 5 and 6 for a better illustration.

I hope this is helpful and I can’t wait to see what you come up with; you all tie knots better than I .

For @turfnsurf
I don’t know the name for this, but a very kind Instagrammer Craielover showed me how to do it.
It starts with the asymmetric fold:
View attachment 4771030Put it around your neck
View attachment 4771038Next take one end and wrap it over the other side - you can pleat that a bit of you like
View attachment 4771039
Next, bring the end in your hand under that side, to get ready to tie a knot
View attachment 4771040Tie a knot
View attachment 4771041Tighten the knot
View attachment 4771042
And you’re done! I hope this made sense!

I love this knot, @Cookiefiend, but I have trouble with the slip knot. My variation uses an anneau, a regate or my two-holed flower ring (you can use a three-holed ring).
1. Follow Cookiefiend’s instructions with the asymmetrical fold and place around your neck.
2. Thread ring onto long tail, then thread the much shorter tail into ring.
3. Adjust to your liking!

Hello loves,

I’ve been looking for a thread of how Hermès scarves can be worn and used aside from the obvious but couldn’t find any. If there is one that I missed I apologize and please transfer this there, moderators! Thank you!

Anyway, this is a 140cm On a Summer Day scarf, I use it as a bag when I’m on the beachA945EB0F-DDB2-46A2-A4BE-27CB78337F0D.jpeg

I found this on a catalogue sent by Hermès and if anyone knows how to decorate a kelly like this with a 90cm scarf please share your tricks and tips!

Thank you and would love to see how you use your scarves!

XOXO,

Tie the Two ends again so that it feels secure (do not knot)

Twist the two ends twice

Now bend these twisted ends backwards and pull then through the little round opening.……Make sure you are pulling these ends through the opening from back to front.

Continue to pull them through and arrange….

Apologies @LKBNOLA for tardiness of this tut’... to be honest it took several tries to recreate from my mod shot.
*I like this cabbage roll-type tie as it doesn’t really crush the pleats and you get to see more of the design than when pleats are closed... ;)

1. Knot short ends around your neck with bright side of scarf facing up (Elizabethan collar-esque):

2. Roll twice away from chin to get to this:

3. Tie long ends in a half knot (hide behind body of scarf):

4. Pass Longer end behind & over body of scarf:

5. Loosely tie in half knot (this configuration makes horizontal knot):

6. Finish knot, adjust as desired

For @Croisette7 and others here is how I made @Foxy trini's "Zhuzhy Squid Knot" :
Step 1-- fold your scarf in half and pleat the long end
Step 2-- grab a hair tie and secure the pleats loosely so it looks like this
IMG_3583.JPG
Step 3-- tie the long ends around your neck
IMG_3584.JPG
Step 4-- "Zhuzh" it up (fluff so hair tie is under and scarf drapes over). Keep pleats tight or open up to soften
IMG_3585.JPG
Et voilà!

I think it was @Pirula who asked about this knot. It is very easy/quick and possible even on a busy morning.
you take the scarf folded in half, fold it very roughly in smaller folds, pull one end through both openings of a chaîne d’ancre scarf ring, but not quite - and pull the other end through the small opening just created. Then you adjust to secure the second end. See also the photos. It is also possible with a 90 cm carré.
