I have to imagine it will be cut out of a square piece anyway, since it would be very hard to weave a round piece of fabric. In that case, they are starting with the same amount of fabric as a regular silk 140, so I have to imagine it will be at least the same cost. Add to that the fact that it is a special design and probably harder to hem, and I anticipate it to be more expensive than a regular 140.
Oh my dog my heart skipped a beat! I have wanted a larger clf since i snagged the last one in the US in the blue/grey maroon cw several years ago. Be still my heart!!!Thank you @Angelian! You made my day with the C’est la Fête! I missed out on it the first time round haven't found the perfect one resellers.![]()
Yay! Finally in my favorite format! Let the stalking beginAll double face silks are 90cm, so yes, the C'est la Fete is a 90cm.![]()
I agree....I just think the graphics on that round scarf are incredibly beautiful, leaving aside that it’s a scarf....I would love to know who the artist is, it has a real Renaissance feel to it like a Da Vinci or a Michelangelo etching...that’s one I’d frame and hang on a wall.....Yup, every time I see that moon I fall in love with it more!
I’m so glad my friend provided them for me to share! All your photos are sooooooo helpful and appreciated Fifi!
My pleasure! CdL so unique... I am very intrigued... My friend was so thoughtful to share his pics!Thank you to you and your friend Fifi. Wow, Clair de Lune is something else when viewed like that. Wonderful.
I agree... Almost looks like a photo! Can’t wait to see this one in the flesh!Fascinating level of detail but I'm just not sure. Looks more like a photograph to my mind. Needs to be seen in the flesh, I guess, as always!!!!
So sad when we hope for only 1.5![]()
Round scarves can be easily folded into squares, so they might not need a special box. When they did the heart-shaped boxes, I was told some customers gave up re-folding and just kept the scarf separate from the novelty box.I imagine the cost will also reflect the need to create a unique box to house the unique way a round scarf is folded.
Wow! I wish for those days!As much as I really want the ClaF in 90cm.. It'll be difficult for me to justify if the price is significantly more than standard 90cm silk. Not trying to turn this into a pricing debate, but still...
Feels like yesterday:

Do we know when the new designs will hit the stores / online shops? I tend to forget that each season and thought it'd be Nov 15th, but so far: no intel yet.
My Manchester SA was very definite - no SS20 scarves on sale until New Year's Day but he also seemed to think that there would be a few available by then when often there is the tiniest dribble of stock for months before the season gets going.According to my SA earlier than usual in the UK. Mentioning before Christmas.
I take all info with a pinch of salt and didn't comment at the time, just took note. Usually, there's this big fuss over waiting until after the inevitable price increase in Jan so I was surprised.
I think you are in Germany(?) so it could be earlier for you too. As I said, this news raised my cynical eyebrow so he may have been wrong, but he is also one of the very clued-up members of the NBS team.
For what its worth I was told January (I'm also in Toronto). But who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if a few come in around Christmas.Nothing in Canada either (I'm in Toronto), dropped by yesterday and my SA didn't even have any idea what was coming for S/S 20
