Actually a 140cm diameter circle would have to be cut from a 140cm rectangle, so the same amount of fabric is required , but the lack of corners means a little less weight
Hmmm wonder how they hem a circle ? Seems real hard to do by hand or even machine , laser cut ?
If you have ever hemmed a circular skirt it is much harder than a pencil skirt since the fabric has to be gathered a bit, for lack of clearer words

I understand completely as I made a full length circular evening skirt a few years ago and the hem took FOREVER!!! I am quite intrigued to see this.

Some football players black out when they get their first tuddy; I black out when I get my first glimpse of new H scarves! I picked up my last MT slim for the season earlier and my SA was kind (and enabling) enough to share glimpses/intel on the upcoming season. The selections and some color ways. 
There’s an Animapolis MT Slim! There are mini twillys designed to be tied as small bow ties! There is a silk formatted to appear like two 90s side by side to form a rectangle! The round is shown as folded in half and draped on the model as a shawl! There are new moussies! The triangles - ah, I can’t recall the design but I’ve got it picked out! But, we could not locate CLF anywhere. I wish I’d taken notes and committed more to memory, but I blacked out. And good news- she said shipment of some designs will begin next month!!!
