Ladies, thanks for all your sweet compliments and likes on my new blues. You've all encouraged me to think very hard indeed before I give up on Robe du Soir!

Of course, here's the hang tag! I should have posted it in my original message. Do let me know how you get on with it.... :flowers:

Ladybaga, thanks for your kind and encouraging comments! Honestly I've been puzzled myself as to why I find the pale back so noticeable when, as you rightly note, the front is pale (especially in one corner) as well. All I can guess is that my eye is drawn to the contrast between the shiny front side and the matte back side. I'd almost prefer the reverse to be stark white than to have the ghost of the pattern without it fully coming through; somehow that would look more deliberate and seamless to me than this middle-ground saturation level. But what I'd REALLY love is for the back to be almost indistinguishable from the front, like it is on this ELenK, which I'm putting in here just to give an illustration for any new collectors dropping in who might be puzzled over what I'm fretting over with the gorgeous Robe scarf.

Aw, but that latte contrast hem. I think it is a keeper with your coloring and elegant style. The lighter saturation isn't a big deal imo.

Haha, yes, it's me. I wish I have more time to make my fair share of contribution to TPF. I have learned so much about H from everyone here. By the way, hearty congrats to your BE baby, it's so stunning. You will have to take pictures of this baby as many as you can and share with us.

Hehe! Thank you so much! [emoji170][emoji170]Currently obsessed with Ms. BE! I may end up spamming my page with pics of my new baby K[emoji28]

I totally see what you mean. (I still love it on you, though....)

The problem is once seen, it's hard to un-see. The Samurais 90s also show this trait, and although some of the older scarves exhibit fainter contrast between sides, IMO it has never been as pronounced as the last 3 seasons. My Samurai is pale so the contrast is not significant (when I bought it I thought it was because it was so pale that is wasn't coming through). I think Hermes should re-think their production processes if this happens so markedly.

Last season there were marked anomalies of colour between various batches of a silk 140s of the same cw. Again, not acceptable.

I think I'm the least 'picky' person on planet H

I was shown them at the NBS London but I haven't seen them in a prominent position at that store since or out at any other H in may area.

The stiff (Linen and silk mix???) is in the same fabric and colour as a new sun hat. The Della Cavalleria is the only design and comes limited to the single light golden cw. This keeps its shape very well and I can imagine wearing this for work, non-comp dressage more formally or even over a t-shirt in the Summer on a day out.

There are a couple of cws of the other type (pure silk) tie as you must have seen, and they would be much more for the same kind of person who likes wearing a twilly at the throat.

Here is the Della Cavalleria and the tie-pin that is shown with it. I found and saved these pics a few weeks ago.

I will try to take photos of the entire booklet later today, for those that haven’t seen it yet.

Love this look, thanks for sharing it! I definitely want to see the tie clip in person.

I haven’t been getting the books in the mail for the past couple years— I think because my local customer profile shows my address as... the Hermes store. I mean, I probably do appear to live there sometimes, but....

They must see us in the morning and sigh coz they know we're going to be there 'till it's closing time.

Shame I can't see this on the Euro site, would be nice to remember how much it was. I think it was comparable to the men's ties (although I don't think as much work is in them TBH, esp considering they're not lined)
