I'm sure it was. I remember a thread speaking of laser printing being the reason that the back of the scarf has greater contrast from the front. It made me think that they use less ink so are there by saving money. Perhaps a wrong conclusion to take?Either way the colour family; you are right I have no interest in two designs with the exact same colours, a happy accident happening years in between? Maybe, but not the same season. So far, I still miss the shading imagine animalpolis with more colour details....

I totally agree! If Animapolis had more depth and texture I would have one in every color.

I am a bit less bullish here. I like the original MT and find the Cut much less fun. Now it's shorter *and* narrower.

I thought they were going to be longer again and narrower? Now i have to go back and look...I do like the original best, I think. But I can't tell if it is because I thought the designs were better/had better printing and choices or not....

Something inside is telling me that the price will stay the same while the real expense is shrinking together with maxi twilly. It's now almost 2.5 times smaller than the original one, taking in account it's double sided nature, and 1.8 times smaller than Maxi Cut.

Thanks Angelian for the pictures - it is indeed the most exciting time of the year! My SAs tell me that it will be a strong season and they have always been honest with me in the past. Loving the men's collection mostly so far.

I don't much like the colour schemes on view for the ladies' scarves - either sepia-toned or - how shall I put this? - pastel or shocking-pastel ( my preference is for jewel-like colours) but I know that the press day designers will just have selected a couple of schemes to emphasise for the show. I suppose the dessert scarf is as close to a reissue of the ancient but magnificent 'A La Gloire de la Cuisine Francaise' as we can hope for at the moment and I'm trying to resist the dragon but I am finding it very attractive So much to look forward to...…...

I do like that they experiment with different formats. I think it is important for the brand to change and evolve. It’s just that I really liked the original MT...

@AnnaE I find that I only think a brand should change and evolve if I don't like what they're currently doing haha! When they make something that I like and seems classic and then they change it I'm always like "why?! it was perfect the way it was!" but then I know of course there's always other people who don't like it and want the changes. Can't win 'em all I guess. I have yet to get into the MT so I'm curious for the new size. I think @Langsam was right, it sounds like they're becoming mens ties!

Fair point! There are definitely things I don't want changed. I liked the MT to be worn as an obi belt or as a dramatic bow on a neck. I am not entirely sure how the new one can be worn, but I will give it a try when I see it. Thankfully, there are always 'regular' scarves to buy!

I would have agreed had I not succumbed to an atypically colourful Animapolis 05 today.
It’s a detailed cartoon, and similar in many ways to Zabavushka, comparing the two I found more detail and shading in the Animapolis. And, joy of joys there is reverse saturation !
The laser debate bugged me for a couple of years,; hate to see the silk screening artisan skill being superseded by a robot , but I’m over it now . I do like the current offerings and I find them more flattering and easy to wear.
