My luggage tag was delivered today.
But I'm a little bit disappointed with the way it came out for the initial N.
Is this normal? My first heat stamped luggage tag.
And I wanted the initial diagonal and not horizontal. But I'm fine with this.

No it is not normal. The N is chipped. If it bothers you, take it back to where you got it stamped and see if they can replace it for you. I don’t like that they make a mistake and still send it to you. Where’s the quality control? Diagonal would have looked really nice. My store did not let me stamp diagonally tho.

I recalled the SA filling out the order form and had the initials going diagonal. It took almost a month for the luggage tag to come and now having to ask for a replacement due to that "quality control" ..I'm more disappointed now.

I think they pushed too hard. On this type of tag in my experience they need to stamp it with a lighter touch.

I have been told by several different people that they don't make exceptions to the rule. You have to drop it off and come back in 3-5 days to get it. They will not mail it back to you either. Currently, one of the two London stamps is damaged so you would not be able to get that one till the fix it (if they do). The problem is that only one store in London does these two London stamps and they get overwhelmed with requests.

Well I’m back from my trip and the staff at Selfridges we’re just fantastic to work with. I emailed my situation to the UK customer service about 2 weeks ahead of my trip and received an exception to their 3-5 day policy and was able to get my stamps! Even more fortunate, the Underground stamp had been damaged but the replacement stamp came in the day of my visit! It was a very good day!IMG_0943.jpg
