This is my grandmother's ring...She bought this over 30-40 years ago when she first came to America. I just recently got this last spring and my mom has had it in the bank to make sure it's safe. She gave this ring to me.... I wish I could wear it everyday because I am in love... I was thinking of using these diamonds in my future engagement ring, not sure how or what to do with it yet. What do you guys think of that idea?

Don't know the specs, sorry! I am planning on appraising it soon and getting it deep cleaned, and getting all the info...it's currently dirty since its been put away for a long time!!

It's a beautiful ring! If it was me, I wouldn't take the diamonds out. Have it sized to fit your right hand. Then you will still think of your grandma when you see it. I guess I'm kinda OCD about change!

grkbella03-- I LOVE that ring! I wouldn't change a thing about it...don't reset it. the setting is one of the best things about it. it's so unique!

it'sanaddiction-- GORGEOUS pieces!!! I especially love the 20s ring with the blue/purple stone, the cat pin, & the ring with the pink stone. thank you so much for sharing!

I'm so glad F&F said all this..............because it's everything I wanted to say...........she makes my life so easy!!!!!!!!!!

here is a pearl necklace i inherited after my father passed early this year, it has matching pearl earrings. i have no idea when he bought it or where...or if it was passed down to him. the clasp is a ruby or a garnet...i don't know what. i haven't had any of my jewellery appraised as it is a VERY expensive process in london (£50/hour + 10% of the item's final value!!!)

i also inherited from him this sapphire necklace. it has matching earrings but my 1/2 sister and i (both september babies) split the set between us

(excuse the smudges!!)

i was recently given this ring by my mum...it was her mother's ring. an amazing cocktail ring, i believe it is from the 1920s/1930s...it looks very deco to me! it's diamonds and suppper sparkly (especially after i had it professionally cleaned). my grandmother had BIG fingers (big arthritis finger joints) and so i had it resized to fit my middle finger but i am going to get it sized again for my ring finger.
