So cute. What size insert are you considering, one that allows you to keep the sides snapped? Thanks!

Ahh... I'm actually not considering a bag insert because it's small enough to keep all my things nice and tidy - is that a terrible idea?!

Also, to all my GP canvas owners - do you also have the all leather version? Which do you prefer?

Here's another pic with my Rodeo PM :)

Hello everyone! First off I couldn't be happier to be in the club. Several weeks back, I asked my SA on a whim if she had a neutral colored GP in a 30...she said "wait a moment" and returned with a black 36. It ended up being just the thing for me and I've used it nearly every day since.

Now, a mystery: Despite combing the forums high and low (literally have spent hours searching...I find it oddly relaxing), I cannot find this lining on a Garden Party. The lining is what drew me to the bag...the colors reminded me of christmas and then I realized it's the alphabet! I checked the code and it begins with "DMM" which, if I understand correctly, would mean the bag was from 2019. I was able to find a scarf with the same print from around that time frame. How would this little beauty have been hidden away for 3 years, then suddenly be sold?

I've fallen more in love the more I researched my purse. Many of the GPs I seen have been beautifully slouchy. This one has a thick, canvas (burlap?) lining which makes the bag hold its shape very well--great for carrying my ipad and my knitting with me. Additionally, I *think* I unknowingly ended up with country cowhide...something I didn't even realize I wanted! I don't have any negonda to compare to, but the pebbling and sturdiness of this leather seem to match up to CCH pix I've seen.

If you've made it this far, thanks! I would love to know anything and everything about my baby

I have zero info to give, but I wanted to say how much I love this! Thats such a pretty interior, and how fun! I have been looking for a sturdy travel bag and am contemplating a GP 36 (although im not sure if it's big enough, and the lack of a zipper worries me).

thank you so much! I felt the same; when I saw the interior I knew it was meant to be! GP 36 is very roomy. I feel it is just a little smaller than the LV Neverfull. Holds my iPad air, knitting, and my daily essentials. Though it lacks a zipper, the side snaps and tip snap keep it fairly secure. I keep my wallet and other valuables in the interior zip pocket.

Love!! How is the weight on a all leather 36? I wanted to consider it but wasn’t sure if it would be heavy.

Beautiful twilly too!

Stunning bag.

These came in hot on the heels of the Quadridge print (and one other I can't remember) slightly earlier. I have a Quadridge print in Bambou.

Both the Alphabet and the Quadridge inside-print bags are all Vache Country leather (that I'm aware of). I believe the other print came in Negonda.

The alphabet canvas (Lettres au Carré Toille de Camp) was also used on the outside of some bags like the Kelly (28 Retourné, Black Swift phw) and Plume (28, Black Swift, phw) Both 2018. Single letters also appear on the Lettre leather bags .

The letters reference an Hermes graphic artist that signed her name 'Mademoiselle D' that she created in 1930 and a typical of the period (Art Deco).

Thank you for the thoughtful reply! I've admired the Quadrige print on the forum--so fun that you have one of those special pieces in your collection. It is fun to know that the alphabet canvas came around the same time. I have always been a big fan of Art Deco, both in art and in architecture. I definitely see the inspiration. I'm still not sure how I was able to score this bag from the store 3-4 years after it was released, but definitely am not complaining

Thank you so much for your kind words! I just pulled out my kitchen scale and the all leather 36 is clocking in around 1 kg or 2.2 lb (hard to be exact due to the bag not quite fitting on the scale). Heavier than I was expecting but not so heavy I wouldn't carry it. If you were concerned about weight, perhaps the canvas version is a good option?
