Ladies I’ve decided to go for it!! But... my SA told me the colour combination I want has been sold out [emoji33] gonna have to wait for a new shipment to come in, hopefully soon!
I finally pulled the trigger - medium size in grey. I love grey in general. And really like the idea of grey leather with the combo of silver and gold hardware. I did a reveal on a separate link to include a few mod photos too.

Congratulations! I think you were decided from the beginning but... as you said... you felt a bit "guilty"
. Don't feel guilty, my friend. You have made a good decision. If you are a bit careful, this wonderful bag will stay with you for many years.. and you'll save money! And the most important thing, you'll enjoy the bag and you'll always look "chic".

Here she is!! Was so excited when I got the text from my SA this morning. Rushed down during my lunch break to pay for her. She’s currently still sitting in the boutique as I didn’t want to raise any eyebrows by lugging a huge Chanel bag to office. Will post more photos after I collect it maybe tomorrow or Friday.

Hello ladies, just feeling a little worried after watching Chase Amie ( luxury You Tuber) talk about how the Gabrielle bag will most likely die out in the next couple of years like the Mademoiselle range.. I admittedly did want a Mademoiselle a couple of years back when it was everywhere but yea she's right, its discontinued and now looking back, the design was pretty ugly.
Point is I am thinking the Gabrielle might really die out like the mademoiselle or the very ugly girl bag in the next 5 - 10 years? Will the design look ugly in 5 years just like the Mademoiselle ? Have I been incepted by the ads and novelty of this new design? I have one small one and I am so worried.. I have asked a few re sellers how much they would be willing to take my bag for, ( its like new) and I would basically lose 1k from the retail price I bought . what do you all think ???
Apart from the classic flaps, i don't know why Chanel loves discontinuing their bags, like the GST, and the timeless clutch ( semicircle one) which I thought was so pretty but they discontinued it.. ( i have 3 of those in different color) and now when I carry those bags out, it makes me look like I am carrying old bags.

seems like I should only stick to the CFs. but CFs are so boring sometimes..

I feel the “ Gabrielle Bag “ is here to stay evethough it is not a popular bag . It’s creation of Karl Lagerfeld that is unique in its design . And also for SAs at Chanel they said the Gabrielle in black ( hobo / backpack) will stay at classics .
Btw, the Gabrielle is not a bag for everyone , some are totally not into it ( they actually hate it!) .
It’s interesting what others think of it ...
But for the time being , enjoy using your Gabrielle that you love ...
I’d second this. I have 2 Gabrielle now, dark blue and beige/black. But the more I’m looking and using mine, I really want one in black, although I wonder if it’ll look too close to my dark blue one.
It’s a pretty and easy to use bag, but it’s not for everyone.

I wouldn"t worry if I were you.. Chanel models are all classic, never mind if they are discontinued. A Chanel will always be a Chanel. Your Mademoiselle is a jewel as it has been discontinued.
