Hong kong is more expensive even though it is tax free. Especially gucci and fendi. Chanel and hermes is still slightly more expensive. Hong kong rent is too expensive to be cheap.
My experience is that the price I paid for my Chanel items is slightly less than in continental Europe, plus there is far more stock than over here. I don’t know about the prices in the UK: because of Brexit problems, the £ is not so strong at the moment, so it might be a better deal to buy in the UK and get your tax refund.
Anyhow: pleased with my small Gabby, which is constantly sold out here.

Congratulations for your new purchase BRAVO [emoji1319] I bought a medium navy/black gabby back in November, in wonder if yours is the small version. Please share us some pics if possible. I am now looking forward to buy a black gabby next year, so so so love the small black gabby and can’t see any other bags anymore [emoji51]

I like it on you. The contrast with that cozy-looking sweater is nice.

BTW, a little bit OT here. I plan to go to Hong Kong and will stay in Tsim Sha Tsui area. Is it safe to carry the Gabrielle around? I’m not familiar with traveling with brand name bag but I want to try. We’ll go shopping and museum hopping. And probably be back by 9 pm every night.
Hi Vink, The TST area in Hong Kong is mainly upmarket. I’ve been there many times on business trips. So you will be quite safe there. But, I suggest keeping the gabrielle zipped up while catching the subway or on crowded paths during the high tourist season, like most populated world cities. Enjoy the shopping there :)

Hello! I recently purchased my small Gabby at the Shanghai IFC store. When I unboxed it the first thing I noticed was the really prominent squeaking of the side hardware (picture attached) - has anyone else experienced this?

Just got back from Hong Kong and I can definitely say that carrying a Chanel/Hermès or other high-end designer bag is absolutely no problem! Never have I seen so many different designer bags being worn on all sorts of occassions.
There are lots of boutiques in Hong Kong: several Chanel,Hermès, Dior etc boutiques. As everything is tax free, there’se no issue with tax refund at the airport. Prices are similar to or even less than in Europe.
Bought a lovely small Gabrielle Hobo blue/black new collection 19C: new stock came in a day before I arrived and the small Gabbi Hobo’s were just flying over the counter!

May I ask how much did you pay for the small gabrielle? Do you think they have gabrielle at the Chanel HK airport? TIA!

I’m seriously considering the Gabrielle hobo in either small or medium in likely all black or some dark neutral. I’ve been loving all the pictures and mod shots of all the pretty Gabrielle’s in here!

My question is, what do you think will look better on me? I’m 5’7”. I haven’t gone to the boutique yet to try them. Anyone around my height can comment? Is it comfortable cross body?

Basically I’m looking for an everyday bag to carry my small wallet/cardholder, coin purse, cell phone, 6 ring key holder, lipstick - bare minimum.
I have a Chanel WOC and I’m finding it a bit too small and cumbersome to stuff everything in.

Also, how hard it is to get in black in small or medium? I’m fairly new to this bag.

Thanks for any input!
