Hi ladies who own the Gabrielle bag, do you think that the bag is heavy? There are several chains... I'm considering getting a small, but I don't like heavy bags!
Also, does anyone own a Gabrielle backpack? I love backpacks and am debating on getting the Gabrielle backpack, or the Gabrielle small tote. Any thoughts?

The chains are not heavy at all as I don't like heavy bags also. I think the Gabrielle hobo is more versatile than the backpack style as there are couple ways to wear them as shown by this thread starter. I do however like the sac bag and is debating if I should get one. Hope this helps.

Here is an idea of how much it can store. I don't fill mine to the brim, just my necessary essentials...
- Hp Samsung Note 4
- Chanel zipped card holder (for notes & store cards)
- LV Cles (for my coins & keys)
- LV cardholder (for my main CCs and IDs)

I saw the Gabrielle in real life today and I loved it.
The SA told me the leather is unscratchable.
I particularly loved the black and beige. He also showed me a black and navy and an all black which is a best seller in the boutique.

I'm wondering how well the leather on the base of this bag will wear? I like the shape of this bag but also curious about the hardness of the base and if that causes any issues while you wear it.

The small is cute and perfect. Any idea if it can be used as a travel bag? Is it big enough to accommodate passports, card holder and maybe a small camera, etc? TIA!!

I used my all black Gabrielle (med) today. Yes, the base can get scratched- a woman walked into me with keys in her hand. The keys left a small impression (you couldn't spot it w/o me pointing it out). Not bad. I also received a couple of scuff marks that even I have a hard time finding in the best lighting.
The bag is so relaxed and funky- I think character scratches and scuffs on the base will be fine. It definitely is not invincible, but it is tougher than it is fragile.
If you don't mind some character in a bag over time, the Gabrielle is a great bag. If you worry about scratches or if this bag takes up your annual bag allowance and you want it to stay perfect, it probably isn't the style for you.
Personally, I really like it!!!

I used the chain around the waist method for this look. From the back it gives a Boho vibe.

I went pretty casual the other day. Quick errand to the post office.

Mid-way I switched style and tried out the chain-around-the-wrist style. It was pretty comfortable so I needed to share with you when I got back. [emoji1]

I will show you how I wrap it around my wrist and it won't slip off as you can see [emoji41]...

Here's how I did it..
Step 1: Position the leather part closest to the zip.

Step 2: Bring the 2 chains together. The end should drape over your index finger.

Step 3: Bring the chain 1 time around your wrist.

Step 4: Bring the chain a 2nd time around your wrist but this time, bring the end towards your fingertips and put your 4 fingers through. This should lock the chain in place. [emoji106]


See? Easy right?
