Yes is chevron is larger size which everyone been saying it's too big for me. I wanted this bag for travel at least able to fit a small water bottle but again my friends don't recommend that. :(

When I first saw this bag, I actually fell in love with the Chanel handle strap (without knowing there's different sizes). I will be getting this instead of the 2 that I posted previously. The SA told me it is the new medium. 20P AS1282 the is code, appreciated if you guys can confirm?

I like the new medium size and think it may be easier to resell because it's an in between size (not too big for day-to-day and not too small). I think the larger bag would be practical for work/school if you need to fit laptop, documents etc, but it'll probably be heavy when full.

Both sizes and styles have pros and cons. I find that, from looking at various preloved Gabbys, the chevron quilts tend to keep its puffiness and shape better, though I would be concerned with the size you tried on as it would probably lend itself to being prone to losing its structure solely due to how big it is. On the flip side, the diamond quilts are so classic and synonymous to Chanel! The smaller size would probably hold its shape better and be good for day-to-night carrying.
I agree with dbcelly, the new medium size would be easier to resell and would tend to hold its value better as smaller bags are in right now. It all boils down to your needs and lifestyle! Both are amazing choices! Good luck!

Therefore, buy what you like which suit you and lifestyle. Don't overthink. The new medium indeed looked better on you compare to the old medium (large now).

This Gabrielle with the handle is beautiful, I love it, you really can't go wrong. Make a revelation when it comes to you.

Hi Purrsey! I have a tweed Gabrielle and I LOVE IT! It's the perfect bag for fall/winter since mine's black and white. The tweed will kind of pill if it brushes up against your jeans a lot but honestly, I don't mind it that much. I just gently take off the pills that I can. I've had the bag for 3 years now and it still looks very new. I know some people complain how delicate the lambskin base is but I haven't had any trouble with it. I don't really baby my bags either. Lastly, I've been drizzled on with this bag too and it hasn't damaged the bag at all.

Hello there asking advice from other medium (28cm) size Gabrielle owner, i recently got a good deal on a preloved listed as ‘like new’ so black Gabrielle. The overall bag seems to be in pristine condition except the opening... is this bumpy zipper part area normal wear and tear or something that i should be worried about? Thank you :biggrin:

I prefer the old medium or large as I like bigger bags due to carrying a lot of junk. . The naming of the mediums is confusing to me so I'm glad to be reading on here what the difference is and seeing photos. Ever since I saw pics of the Gabrielle I've loved it but never seen one IRL.

I love the old medium, I was having it yesterday with summer outfit and it was not too big!
